They have been a passive enemy. Telling them 'do what we want, to our standards, and give us unfettered access to your facilities or we will bomb you' is going to make an active enemy of them. It is nothing short of a declaration of war. They will go from covertly financially supporting anti-America groups to actively forming, training, and getting them access to the US.
Perhaps, perhaps not.

Spreading the fear, obviously. Syria is in no kind of shape to attack Israel & anybody with half a brain knows it.

Bibi would love it.
Who said Syria was going to attack Israel? It certainly wasn't me...and anyone with half a brain can see that.

So there is no justification for the airstrikes against Syria, obviously. Or maybe Bibi is planning on chewing off more territory in the Golan to... create a "buffer zone" & protect Israel, obviously. That was the original rationale for keeping the Golan but they moved in the settlers as fast as they said it...

You were saying??? I would ingest small portion of that crow.
Wall St. rallies on higher oil after U.S. quits Iran deal

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...r-oil-after-u-s-quits-iran-deal-idUSKBN1IA1QJ

Thank you. I am glad you were proved right, at least for today

I still don't think this will have an incremental effect on oil prices. They have been going up already, so I guess hard to tell whether in the short or long term whether the continued increase has anything to do with this topic at hand. These things are so complicated. I remember how the experts were saying the era of cheap oil is over when it was at $4. That it will eventually go up to $10 or something. Like most things I guess nobody really knows much but the experts are always very confident in their predictions about everything they opine on.

There's no justification for those airstrikes if you don't want to believe there's justification for those airstrikes....obviously. Willy nilly random attacks certainly makes sense to me! /s

There is building conversation that the EU might use blocking regulations to protect their companies from US sanctions so they can continue trade with Iran if they want to maintain the deal. The US would then be faced with the choice of sanctioning euro companies which would 100% start a barn burner of a trade war. This has come up before and the US backed down.

Richard Grenell, Trump's new ambassador in Germany sent this tweet on his first day on the job: "As @realDonaldTrump said, US sanctions will target critical sectors of Iran’s economy. German companies doing business in Iran should wind down operations immediately."

This was not well received.... Obviously diplomacy is hard.

The rest of the world has no reason to trust America anymore, and as a result they know that it is in their best interest to do everything possible to ensure they no longer need America politically, economically or culturally. Strangely a lot of Trump supporters seem to consider this a win, as if taking your ball and going home is a "win" when the result is you sitting alone in your basement with a ball that is of no use to you anymore while all your former friends go play a different game without you. Looks like it's possible Europe and Asia will move on without the USA.

Agree. The "new deal" will likely involve tactical strikes if Iran chooses to continue their nuclear program...I think he's grown a special fondness for this approach.
Yeah, emptying the US arsenal of missiles against a fully formed opponent that is not in the midst of civil war. Where Russia and China would want to punish us for it. Weapons hot in the Middle East is a fool's errand.

Ineffective attacks, as occurred in Syria twice now. No upside, major downside potential.

Just read that article. His excuse was 'well that's what they (Trump club) told me to say. Clueless is as clueless does. So now we are going to have an economic war with Europe? What could possibly go wrong. I guess it was a good idea for me to move most of my retirement out of equities.

What would the justification be?

Iran will probably have nukes in a few years.
Nope. and even if we did, it's not like the worlds largest manufacturer (and user) of, any kind of, weapons has any say in it. Grow up.

Apparently Israel feels threatened by Iranian drones in their airspace, two Iranian military bases in Syria right on their border, and Iranian missiles located in Syria pointing at them.
And it's not like the US establishes military bases anytime, anywhere possible by the dozen; it's only a threat when Iran does it.

That's the "They wuz looking at me funny!" defense of aggression, right?

Trump: we are pulling out of the deal cuz Iran is violating the terms.
A bit later
Trump: Iran, I am warning you not to develop nuclear weapon.

He must have the forum timewarp bug IRL.

It's Trump & Bibi frothing up well cultivated anti-eye-ray-nyun sentiment for domestic political purposes.

As is the JCPOA doesn't prevent Iran from ordering Hwasong charges for Shahab rebrands.

North Korea -> Primorsky Krai -> North Caucasian Federal District -> Caspian Sea -> Iran // etc

Prevent NK/IRAN trade and in turn safe America.

I'm liking Shepard Smith more and more lately. Apparently, he cut off some author on his show that was saying Trump pulled out of the agreement and Shep says there is no provision to withdraw from the treaty, he just violated it. Good on you Shep.

Not a treaty. No matter how much you wanted Obama to be king, US Presidents can't approve treaties. Seems like Kerry and Obama are still working on keeping Obama's Iranian deal.

Someone has to be the adults in the room... It's so hard to tear something down! Any numbnuts can destroy something they didn't build especially if they don't even have to get off their fat ass to do so. Building things? That takes a real man. When does your king start building things?

Like the wall tick tock tick tock...
