So to be clear, we have a credible accusation of rape against the president of the United States by a nationally prominent figure, one with contemporaneous confirmation by people who knew her. This is around the 15th or 16th credible accusation of rape, sexual assault or other sexual misconduct against him. Rape is a felony, one that plenty of people are currently in prison for.

What does it take to start impeachment.

As I saw in the article, there's a photo from the 80s, the rape is said to have occurred in the 90s. Do you remember everyone you ever met at a public event one evening 35 years ago? What I am saying is, the photo from the 80s means little to nothing. It is also of no consequence because we KNOW the President is a liar. Although anyone would lie on such a subject, former Presidents already have.

I find it a fascinating and revealing insight into just how often a women from that era faced various assaults. How common it must have been to violate and commit crimes. And it dutifully highlights WHY a woman wouldn't speak out. Just boys being boys after all. Then, later in life, after facing all that sexual assault / harassment throughout the years, to be victim to a "billionaire". Who wants to be destroyed by making an accusation without 100% concrete evidence?

In totality, so long as the two friends did legitimately confirm that the accusation existed in the 90s, then this is quite credible.

What to do with this information, that's another matter. And possibly quite controversial depending on who you ask.

The question posed is "what does it take to start impeachment?". I agreed with the OP and listed the crimes that I recall reading about right here in this very forum. I'm not arguing against impeachment, I'm not denying the grounds for it, I've taken up the liberal position of moving forward with impeachment. Why are you taking me to task? I'm right behind you, I want what you want, lets do this right now and get it over with.
