The only semi-pass I give trump is the saudi issue. I believe all presidents in my lifetime have bent to the saudis. Other than that, trumps a fucking douchebag who is undermining the constitution, alienating allies, ruining the environment and is in deeply over his head in every single aspect of the presidency.

I don't know, Turmp probably did make an inquiry into setting up a resort there or something. Hell, maybe NK even offered it. They have that giant empty pyramid hotel building...

I think the NK stuff though was mostly that people told him "no US President has ever been able to make meaningful progress with them" and Trump, believing he really is this master deal maker, thought he'd be able to get a deal done in a weekend. And then he met his match in basically a younger North Korean version of himself (Turmp and Jong Un are more alike than they're different).

The sad/funny thing is that any of these scenarios are plausible, and possibly all of them at once. Fan of authoritarian rule? Greedy? Egocentric? Yes.

I would agree that's a valid criticism, the thing is, that was a compromise to bolster stability, both for ourselves due to the oil needs for American industry and business, and for the region (as a counter balance to other aggressive regimes in the region). Turmp has been pouring gasoline on the Middle East and might even be actively looking for the match to light it because he'd be happy if most of the region burned (especially if it can help possibly save his ass). His interest in Saudi Arabia is himself (rather their money. He's enabling Russia, but because of his need to posture, has had to standup, potentially setting up real conflict. He's fueling Israel's insanity, and is trying to antagonize Iran again. He's enabled Turkey to become worse. And he's enabling Saudi Arabia to try and fuck over other countries (the Qatar stuff, which hey, there could be valid issues to be raised with some of them, but when Saudi Arabia is doing often worse shit, it rings hollow to let them be the one driving this stuff).
