good grief! will there be 4 years of lefty whining?

better get those safe spaces ready with play doh and plenty of tissues.

I don't know about lefties needing safe spaces:

it's conservative fear that has driven them for the last eight years and primarily drove this last election.

Fear of progress
Fear of muslims and terrorism and muslims (the same thing, obviously)
Fear of poors
Fear of egalitarianism
Did I mention fear of progress? (the classic, and honestly respectable foundation of conservatism: historically, honest conservatives accepted change and progress, but only gradually. This current breed, however, longs for a return to Bronze Age mythologies dominating daily discourse and peaceful, Jim Crow small towns. This is not a shocking assertion, btw)
Fear of science and intellectual curiosity about the world

Contemporary Conservatives are nothing but fearful, fearful people. The liberals under their beds are the worst enemies that they can imagine. How strange is it that in nearly 2 decades of a solid march towards conservatives dominating and essentially owning 60-70% of local, state, and federal offices around this country, they still whine endlessly about being some disenfranchised minority with no proper representation, being sent to the curb under the burdensome weight of an "evil liberal social agenda!" destroying their country?

There is no controversy in what I am saying here: this is exactly what we live in today. It's mind-boggling, really. The decades of perpetual victim-hood buried within the contemporary conservative mind knows no salve that will ever come via political, social, or simple self-reflective means. They are a product of the system that tells them how to think about the world outside their houses and eschew any and all manner of critical thinking, and thus they continue to vote to perpetuate their own self-hate.

I love these comments by the right side -- you realize you guys cried and whined for EIGHT YEARS because of crazy things like affordable health care?
dude, I am not right or left. I had/have no opinion on Obama, good or bad.

I am just tired of constantly hearing the incessant whining, name calling and crying coming from the left. It makes all lefties look like spoiled children having temper tantrums because you didn't get your way.

Even worse is that it makes the USA the laughing stock of the world.

It's time to let it go and act like adults.

Maybe all of these anti-Trump threads could be put under one thread called Whiny Bitches are Whiny, that way other topics can be discussed without all the pollution of Trump this or Trump that.

That's fine -- I'm really neither left nor right myself (though I am anti-Trump)
That being said, did you make the same post in the past 8 years about the right crying every damn day and blocking the gov't from functioning?

He met with the leader of Austria's right wing political party, which holds about 25% of the seats in government. It's not like he met with the KKK. Seems like a stretch here.

Right, and these fascist parties have been on a huge march towards prominence in Western Europe over the last 2 or 3 years. This isn't just "Austria's right wing party," This is a specific ultra-nationalist rightwing party. I also find it rather lol that you don't address the relevance between Nazis, Austria, and the historical undertones of the type of aggressive nationalism that one might predict from such a rightwing party.

To be frank, the American public and the media don't really care who the director of the DIA is. How many people could name one without googling?

Do you think it just might be possible he's getting more attention from the media now because he's actually being promoted to a position people give a shit about?
It's has an amazingly small building for a government agency. IRC off of George Mason drive, in Arlington.
I agree, most probably didn't realize that the military has their own intelligence agency. I won't get into what the civilian side of intelligence thinks about military intelligence.

I wasn't active in posting @ P&N back then. I am not sure that subforum existed then.

I don't think Trump is looking to lock up his daughter and son in law.

Flynn is a retard. He linked this video, endorsing it.

https://youtu.be/tJnW8HRHLLw

And he also somehow thinks that Muslim terrorists are coming in from Mexico...which objectively makes no sense. None of the 9-11 hijackers came close to Mexico. Most Muslim terrorists are either homegrown or they come in on visas.

And he thinks that the US should fund a large scale rebuilding project for the Muslim world, state-build for them.

The dude is embodiment of the Peter principle. He is good at narrow jobs but he stinks at larger strategic vision.

I listen to the Foreign Policy magazine podcast and they talked about Flynn the other week.

their speculation was that Mattis (DoD Sec), Kelly (Homeland Security Sec), and Dunford (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) are all pretty reasonable people and all served together in the Marines. they don't like Flynn and will likely try to isolate as much as possible so that Trump takes their advice instead of his if they can present a unified front in meetings.

No just 8 years of frustration listening to idiots touting affordable health care. It is to the point that even with the mountain of evidence about the failure that is obamacare... you leftist goofballs keep using it as a rallying cry.

I will always advocate for affordable healthcare for all American citizens. If Trump has a better plan, let's see it.

Some things never change. When Obama started his first term I said here that berating the President was pretty much a national pastime. OMG, the vitriol that came my way after that...

I imagine the same people that were aghast that I would say that with our first black President in office will be A-OK with berating Trump. Whatevah...
I think the scale is slightly different.

Obama berated in large part for being black.

Trump berated for being a pussy grabbing misogynistic sexual predator

Trump could change nothing about ACA besides renaming it Trumpcare and you would call it the best thing since sliced bread.

You'll only confuse them with facts zin. When you add in logic and some historically accurate statements, well that's just mean. Won't someone think of the poor trump chumps and their virulent allergy to facts and reason?

Agreed. I usually hate prognostications like that, but this lacks hyperbole given the GOP's recorded behavior towards Romneycare since Obama took office. As a group they have sided with image rather than substance since 2000 and I seriously doubt that will change any time soon, if the support for a unqualified sociopath and conman is any indication.
