i dont like my Mclarren, because i live in a high density metro, and always hit red light after red light.
Sort of sounds like the OP.
(although i really don't own a Mclarren, however i dream of one when i retire)
I would probably buy some high-end audio gear, and not be able to use it, as the rest of the family would suffer from my music preference.
Gah.. Audiophiles...
I almost got sucked into that black hole..
Thank god i ended it on a DAC + THX Headphone Amp, and didn't go the full monolith + Kef Blade 2 speaker setup.
My friends system probably costs as much as my daily beater for work, and its a leased BMW too on top.
I had a ATI 9700 Pro before, that I did use until it died, which was another one of those great GPUs for its time.
The 8800 GT just refused to die.
I think the most memorable cards i ever had were...
VooDoo2 (although this was a addon and not a real video card)
Riva TNT2
Geforce 2.
Geforce 8800GT
ATi 4870X2 -> It was my first and only Quadfire setup...
RTX 4090 -> its the true definition of "what optimization? who cares about optimizations...."
@ the OP.
Trophy Cards, like the 4090 typically are never worth it.
Its the You can take sledge hammer, but i'll use a wrecking ball instead approach at games.
90% of the card is just so you can run anything on ultimate and not worry about optimizations like
@AdamK47 and me, who just have it for the MEH, too lazy to optimize and just want the best approach.
