indeed. we drastically need to have 3 parties. But whenever a third party comes around, and if its one thats strong and popular enough, sure enough one of the other two will drop so we can again be two party. We seem to be structured to only be two, and I don't know why and don't know why it can't fix itself. Libertarians are the closest it seems to really getting a third party going, but it needs an exceptionally charismatic person to get them on the map, and not someone who promises too much. Sure, the point of the libertarian party is to bring back small government, but you can't promise it all at once like Ron Paul did... ESPECIALLY if there isn't a single damned libertarian in congress. heh
that's the other problem. Nobody charismatic is leading the third party charge across local and state governments, or if they are, it's because those locals are again only two parties.
America seems to love polar opposites. It makes it easier to hate the other group.
