Trying to talk my father into buying an Altima

His other choices are Camry and Accord, I'm trying to get him to buy an Altima. I know this site has a lot of Nissan fanboys, you guys surely know a reason or two why Altima is better than the other 2.

He's still in limbo wether he'll get new or used. He was all set on new, when he got into 2 separate car accidents last friday (both not his fault) so now he's not so sure about getting a new car rearended by some nubmnuts. I'm sure he does care about interior by his main concern is size and he's afraid that Altima is smaller than the aforementioned cars.

I like the new '05 Altima exterior and from what I've read the interior is much improved. It's a roomy, reliable car with great engines for the money. The Altima has won various awards, maybe you could cite those to get your dad to at least test drive one (and maybe take a look at the Mazda 6 while he's at it). Test-driving would only take a little time and be well worth it to at least check out the competition.

It's a great car, except for the interior. The seats are uncomfortable, the armrests are not placed properly, the headrest doesn't move forward, and there's no good place to put your left foot while driving. Also, the controls are not at arms reach (radio, A/C, etc.)

The blinkers emit an annoying sound as well.

I suggest Camry as well. Or for a larger, full sized sedan, perhaps Avalon, Lesabre, Maxima.

tell him to check out the 2005 Altima...it is nice.

But I'd recommend the V6 Accord. It's just sweeet. And this is from a Nissan fanboy. But I'd put a 99 Maxima before any of those though.
