So far, I've tried:
Killians Irish Red - it's okay, too bitter
Dos Eques Amber - a little better... but not very good, still too bitter
Bass Ale - best I've had, pretty good

I'm looking for some recommendations on beer to try.

I'm in the UK......and I like Corona (the Mexican beer - make sure you get the lemon with it though!)

I was in St. Louis a few months ago for a bachelor party and we went to a brewery downtown near the river a few blocks away from the football stadium (I can't remember the name of the place). They had several homemade beers on tap, and the best I had was the honey wheat.

Man, I was so drunk at the end of that night.

I mostly like dark beers and microbrews. I won't list all the beers I've had, because I honestly couldn't recall them all. Especially going to the microbrewery shows, you get way too many samples.

My favorites:
Guinness
Leinenkugels (Red, Honey Weiss, and Big Butt)
Long Horn(?) I had it in Texas, but can't remember the name of the brewery. Pretty good, though. I had it at a Bar / Grill in the Carrollton area. Edit: I think its call Shiner Bock! (Thanks, Shinerburke, you name triggered the memory)

HAHA They put a lemon in Corona in the UK. That's funny, in the states they put a lime, try it.

@misle Killians tastes totally different in a bottle than it does out of a tap. I can't drink it out of a bottle but at a bar I love it.

My personal favs are Yuengling, MGD, and Heiniken.

I made an American wheat Saturday that should turn out pretty good. A good introduction for "light" beer drinkers into craft brews.

Beamish Bitter is a good beer too. Not too hoppy and good flavor. I've created a similar brew but used American grains and hops.

Is this the only beer drink with a name?

Half and Half is Guinness and Harp. Black Velvet is Guinness and Champaigne. Flaming Dr. Pepper is a shot (I don't remember what it is) lit on fire and dropped into a beer - then you quickly drink it all and the last few swallows taste like a Dr. Pepper.

I am a fan of Serria IPA, and for some extra $ Rogue Dead Guy Ale and Dog Fish Head. I live in VT and we have alot of local microbrews around here such as Long Trail, Magic Hat, Rock Art and Otter Creek which are all pretty damn good but not so easy to come by in most other states...

Here are a couple of craft beers that would recommend to anyone who likes a beer that has more flavor than the usual MGD clone.

Brewery: Avery (Colorado)
Beers:
Eleven - this is an IPA to the extreme, very good beer if you like hops.
Salvation - think Belgium ale and times it by two.

Brewery: Bell's (Kalamazoo, MI)
Beers:
Oberon - a summer seasonal. Not your typical wheat, and lots of flavor and hops
Two Hearted Ale - This is only available during between Oct - Apr. This Ale is so much flavor that you will wonder how other beers can be so watery. This beer achieves a balance between maltiness, bitterness, and hop finish that is seldom seen. Its probably my favorite beer.

Others worth trying:
Old Speckled Hen - a british ale that puts Bass to shame. Drink the whole six.
Old Peculiar - Great beer here, an old stand by for poker games.
Dogfish 60 Minute IPA - a beer that is busting with hops yet not completely unbalanced. Worth trying; many swear this or their 90 IPA is the best there ever was.

Irish car bomb is Guinness, Jameson and Bailey's (notice a trend? ).

IIRC, one bar I went to did do it with lime...but the colour of the fruit can't be distinguished very well in bars, so it may well have been another lemon.
