"Turbo": what the heck? It's a marketing term. More often than not, marketing terms are BS.
If "turbo" is referring to the memory speed, i.e. DDR2 667 vs DDR2 800, there is really not much difference between them, especially for a laptop.
The best memory is name brand (Kingston, Micron, Crucial, Corsair are among the top brands) with a lifetime warranty. Excellent quality memory is so inexpensive right now that there is absolutely no reason to go with some off, no-name, less than exemplary brand.
I think it is this month's Consumer Reports that has customer service/satisfaction survery results for laptops. Apple did really well.
