Never heard of that, I need to see if they do pets. My lab Molly probably only has a couple years left at best and I don't think my wife will let me turn her into a coffee table like I had planned. This may be my other option.

Now you can truely say "Someone stole my family jewels"

I wonder if you can get insurance on your mom diamond incase it gets stolen.
"Someone broke into my house and stole my mom"

Now if they come up with a better way to dispose of mothers-in-law, ex's, and hookers.

I've heard of this being done for pets before but never people. It seems kind of creepy.

This site does pets, for a much better price.

My cats are getting old. I'll probably do this when they're gone.

I have some people that are definitely not "loved" by me, that I would love to turn into jewelry.

I've always thought the people who keep deceased pets and loved ones in urns on their mantel were crazy. This, still crazy.

In principle, one or more diamonds can be transformed from the cremation ashes of one deceased person. As basic material for the actual synthesis for one or more diamonds, a quantity of 500g of ashes is needed. The client can otherwise utilize the portion of the remains which are not used for the transformation any way they see fit. If requested, all the cremation ashes will be used for the synthesis. They remain in the process until they are completely exhausted.

The transformation of the ashes will be carried out with utmost care and reverence. Every production step will be accurately documented.

In an unique preliminary proceeding, all inorganic substances (salts, oxides, etc.) will be chemically separated from the carbon. The actual transformation process, the conversion of graphite into a memorial diamond (both are pure carbon: one time in a hexagonal, the other time in an octagonal structure) is carried out under enormously high pressure and high temperature and requires a number of weeks, depending on the size (weight) of the stone.

so does that mean if the deceased was say, extraordinarily fat, i can get a very large diamond for the same price of a skinny one?

Yeah, as much as I love my cats, I don't want their ashes on my mantle forever. But throwing them out like trash doesn't make me feel good, either.

I like the idea of making a gemstone from their ashes - but what do I do with the rest of the ashes? They've always been indoor cats, so sprinkling the ashes outside is no different than throwing them in the garbage.

I doubt you'll get 500g of ashes from 1 cat. Maybe 50 cats but not 1 cat.
