Some games aren't available for the PC. Some people just have their head in thier ass.

If you have a mouse and and keyboard, it's a freakin computer.

JBTele was right.. the ps2 has a Linux kit right here. I'm all for open source and everything, but I'd still go with this over xbox-linux.. no sense risking turning my console into a $200 paperweight when there's a kit like this.

Hah! Then how so many consoles realease keyboards and micr for their systems?! That makes them computers immediately accordinqg to your standards doesn't it? I'm not a big fan of consoles. I do like the DC and XBOX though. But at this point in time, I'm with the dude who says make XBOX games play on the computer. The games are the only reason to buy the system if not for any other. Id rather use my money for my car audiop system . But of course, to each their own.

Last I remember, the MAX resolution for x-box Linux was 640x480. Not a very usefull computer resolution for most of us around here.

RE: 640x480 - Obviously; you're outputting to a television! It won't look quite as nice as that 1600x1200 20" LCD.

OTOH, it's a $200 XBOX, $60 modchip, and $100 120GB HDD solution - stick games, MP3s, DiVXs, and all kinds of other things on the XBOX and have a very nice, very high quality, very easy to use $360 media center. Stream video from your PC and you'll then be able to play whatever media you want over the network - it's pretty handy, actually. And it really doesn't compare with the Dell SX260 mini-pc; the graphics on the SX260 are integrated Intel Extreme - pretty poor for a gaming solution.

They are actually working on that, since linux is already working on it, they are working on the drivers on the WinTV USB TV, so I would see those in a couple months if it went smooth.

The PS2's integer processor is far too weak compared to the xbox, so it's not really that exciting to run the PS2 as a PC.

soon they'll claim when u buy an xbox, u are merely "leasing" it, like software licences... and then u wont be able to resell ur xbox, any of the games without paying a Microsoft Tax.
