This is a good deal if you want the full retail package on this awesome sound card. The OEM version can be had at most places for around 63 to 65. I figured this deal is at least warm.

this is a pretty good card... I'm just flabergasted (spelling?) as to why it is still so expensive. this card has been out for years. edit - at least 1 year and 9 months

Two things:
One: It hasn't been out for years. Only a year or so, if I remember correctly.
Two: It's a damn good card AND it's on the HCL, so that gets the price up a little bit.

Good price though. I paid about this much for my OEM version of this card a while back and that was a good deal.

its really old, but still quite capable....

The buy.com DOTD was a good deal for the retail version of the card. If you're willing to get the OEM version it will be even cheaper. Newegg, for example, has it for $63 shipped.

..and though I am a HUGE fan of the Santa Cruz, the Audigy honestly is a better card. The anandtech-"only" deal from TCWO for $55 shipped is a fantastic deal.
