blindspot and blacklist are also doing 3 episode groupings.That's something they've shifted to as they've seen better ratings by keeping episodes grouped rather than sprinkling 1 new one every other week or so as they used to do to fill the lesser months (per the ratings calender)

I hear you. I did watch the entire first season and I saw what they were trying to do with it. I thought they succeeded to some extent but the whole noir comedy commenting on existential angst thing didn't really hit home with me. I thought it was a valiant attempt though. Not sure I will watch the second season unless I see some good comments on it.

Despite some of the crap this show has gotten, I really like it. I thought it's been interesting and unpredictable and personally I didn't see the most recent twist coming although I suppose I should have. And this is coming from someone who really doesn't like either Ted or the female lead. When you can dislike the actors but still like the characters and the theme, that I think says a lot about the quality of the writing and directing.It's good to be Ted Danson as The Good Place will keep the lights on for another year.
