I really don't understand how this show is successful. From what I saw in the first season, the writing is terrible, the acting is terrible, and to top it off the show is based on a fraud. Also, I really can't stand the main actor. I've seen him in a few different things and he's bad every time.
I think it's successfully hit the "you'll feel smart if you watch this because it's science-y, but you don't have to understand science at all because we make it all up and gear things to a 4-year-old mind" demographic.
I don't watch any of those CBS shows listed and the ones I've tried, which were Scorpion, Superior Donuts, Man with a Plan and MacGyver were all terrible.

You guys are totally missing the point of Scorpion. OMG! it's one of the best comedies on TV right now.
Don't watch it with the mindset that it's a semi-serious show about geniuses and science...watch it as a comedy. It's the ONLY thing that makes any sense.

No, you laugh at the stupidity. My wife gets mad at me every week for something I say while watching the show..."Dumbasses, it doesn't work like that!" It's funny as hell to me...the crappy acting and casting, the terrible scripts, and the even worse science...

What do you mean fraud? I can't tell you how many times I took my Ferrari up to 380 MPH so I could attach an ethernet cable hanging from the bottom of a flying airliner to my laptop so I could reboot the software and save 200 planes from crashing.

Curious as to whom FEUD: Bette and Joan is targeted at?
Their ratings have been dropping fast as well, and for good reason, the show isn't that good at all.
Wow. Besides 60 minutes over a decade ago, I have never seen a full episode of any of those shows. For example, I tried to watch an episode of Scorpion, but it was just horrible.
What will Tanaka do now for work? There just isn't much work for an interdimensional penis tentacle monster.
Although, to be honest, I don't think the show was cancelled so much as it sort of ended. The last season ended...
with Josh, the main character, getting married. So, he's no longer "seeking woman". After that, I was wondering what would happen in the next season. Would they pull a How I Met Your Mother and kill her off after we've grown to like her throughout the season?
So, I'd say that it sounds like they specifically ended the season in a spot where it could feel like a natural ending. Although, it is a bummer as it was a fun, quirky comedy that realized how goofy it was. I wonder if part of the problem is that it's on FXX, and some people don't even get FXX in HD. (I don't.)
Given that @Perknose is the only other person that I've seen talk about this show, he will be sad at this news.

Well, I think we're kinda getting into two different things here. You're more or less making fun of the show... a sort of Mystery Science Theater approach. The show could be a bit more of a stupid/over-the-top comedy if it didn't take itself seriously.
Expect Elementary to be renewed, just awaiting contracts to be finalized for the next season.
Talking the Season 3 premiere, Season 4 for Fear The Walking Dead was announced.
WGN seems to be getting out of the premium show business and Outsiders is the first casualty. Production company wants to find another home, but there's only an outside show at that.
Those responsible should face arraignment, but Arrangement has been renewed.
They may not be Merlin, but The Magicians will conjure a third season before your very eyes.
The Path and Nashville renewed.
Star Wars Rebels cancelled after it was announced the next season will be it's last.
And in this round of rising from the dead; Fear Factor to be revised as a MTV property.

See...that's just it. I don't think they try to take themselves (or the show) too seriously. It's like the new version of MacGuyver..."serious drama" done in a comedic way.
PLEASE tell me I'm not wrong...that's the only way I can stand to watch either show...otherwise, both those shows are pure garbage.
Wait, what? Um, maybe I don't know as much of the Truth as I thought I did. Let's just say Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will be in it and leave it at that.
That really was kind of a stupid premise. The only thing they had going for them were Danny Pudi from Community and Ron Funches from Undateable. I'm surprised it lasted this long.
