Is that show any good? I tried to watch it when it premiered and I just couldn't take Lithgow's character.
Trial & Error renewed for a second.
That's a surprise. For a while there it looked like anything labeled 'Chicago' would be a hit.No justice in Chicago as it's one and done.
I find Last Man on Earth to be more of a horror show than comedy. A lot of the stuff on that show freaks me out in concept, like surgery and getting trapped.
yea the season final with all the nuke plants on fire.... fucccccckkkkkk
IKR? I think they're trying to be some sort of West Wing reboot. You know it really wouldn't surprise me to see Designated Survivor get axed soon as well.
I actually think it is worse than that, but, that just means it will be renewed.IKR? I think they're trying to be some sort of West Wing reboot.

I hope so. It's not very good.
You "hope" it's canceled? Are you forced to watch it or something?

the standard formula for 1st season action shows is to kill off the main antagonist:You can't keep playing that conspiracy angle for too long. If it's just mystery upon mystery upon mystery it bogs down and becomes Lost (in every sense of the word). So they're going to have to find some new angle to play early next season. The ratings were good for this year, but if they're in week 8 of season 2 and there are still no answers, just new moles hiding behind every rock it could crater quickly. I think they managed to hold onto viewers all season because people were hoping to get closure. People will tune out in droves if they don't get it.
And after that, then what? It becomes a political show like West Wing, but not as well written.
I just started watching House of Cards Season 5 and I think that this one has reached the end of its shelf life. I just can't seem to get into it anymore as it wanders around searching for its footing. If they'd just left his character as a meddling congressman I believe that it would've opened the door to more stories.
You're probably right.I think that this season is pretty good (so far), although it seems that our real life White House is now just as corrupt and far more incompetent. It kinda of spoils the "did he really DO that?" shock factor... we've seen stuff equally crazy in real life lately.
I'm almost wishing that Conway would have won and the show would have started following his administration instead. It would have been a good way to "reboot" the show for season 6.
I actually liked The West Wing and they did touch upon many different racial and ethical issues. I made it to the last episode of House of Cards Season 5 and I definitely think that our current administration provides them with too much competition. Frank Underwood no longer shocks his audience like he did when Obama was the president.IKR? I think they're trying to be some sort of West Wing reboot.
