Check how much sodium they stuff in that little pot pie. It should be illegal to sell products like that and call it high quality foods.

The reason for the excessive sodium is probably preservative related.

Sorry I prefer to eat real food.

TV dinners are worse than MRE's.

not bad when you are limited on time, and want a quick meal.

What, MREs? I agree, they may be nasty crap, but they're somewhat convenient.

 Eli, they're frozen foods, not beef jerky. They don't need salt for the preservative value. All that salt's in there because of all the french fries and potato chips people are used to eating. Americans are used to foods that are too salty.

Sodium should be the least of your worries, they have something like 80g of fat (lots of heavy cream.)

I like the chicken breast with green beans and mashed potatoes. Also the turkey breast with stuffing and green beans. I'd put their lasagna up against just about any home made. These are all relatively healthy (500-600 calories and 20-25g of fat) and fill me up. For $2 to $2.50 each you can't beat them. Just be sure to read the nutritional labels before buying any frozen dinner.
