TV mounting in cinder block

Hello,

I've recently moved into a new house and during the build I asked to have in wall cable routing done for a TV. They have routed a 6 feet tube for me to route my HDMI cable. Due to this they've also added a 1" backing board on top of the cinder block where the TV would be mounted. Now my question is this: How do I about mounting a Sanus VLF515 to hold a 55" 61lb TV? The cinder block was not filled in, so I assume I cannot use wedge anchors as the cinder block is hollow. Molly Bolts? Toggle Bolts? How about the Snap toggle (toggler.com)? Should I be able to just mount it to the 1" thick backing board that sits between the drywall and the cinder block? The mount is articulating so I need it to be strong and as permanent as possible.

Thank you.

Is this like plywood? And if its on top of the cinder block wall what did they use to mount?

Should be plywood, I wasn't there when they put it in. I highly doubt they'd use MDF for it. No idea what it's mounted with, same reason as before.

I think the plywood was added for tv mounting, but best to check with contractor first.

It definitely was added for mounting. However I'm not only installing a tilting mount but a full articulating one with a 61lb TV, I don't think that'll be enough.

1" Sheet plywood should be strong enough as long as you use proper anchors. Drill trhough to cinder blocks if you are worried. just use as many as the mounting plate allows.

"Proper anchors" = ? That's what I'm trying to find out.

expanding anchors should be enough.

Did you look at the installation manual, just follow the instruction for cinder block if you don't trust the plywood. just add an inch to the drill instruction xd

from the manual it looks like the wall anchors and bolts are included. the thickness of the cinderblock is enough to hold.

They're tapcons, I don't trust them with a mount that will be moving constantly.

Sanus disagrees

Realistically, one of those bolts with anchors can hold 200lb static no problem.
