It's not like that on the website...can anyone confirm this price? What are the valid purchase dates for BB? I have some store credit i'd like to use at BB, but i'm too lazy to drive all the way to BB tonight (especially to find out that its not on sale here)..

for those of you who are worried about the mono sound. you could always pass the coaxial through a vcr or another tuner and split it into components. btw, is this deal still available? i'm interested in the firewire card but not sure if the $10 instant rebate is still valid

I have all the software loaded correctly for this card, but no tuner shows up anywhere. Anyone else have this problem and found out what is was? Works fine with Dscaler though. I have the tuner set for "Philips NTSC", is this the correct one? Thanks for any info.

tiejiba, I just reinstalled WinXP so I have a better recollection of what I did to make the TV Wonder VE work.

After downloading the mmc71tw03, unzip it to a directory, then install it.
After installation, TV Wonder VE will not work yet.
You have to go into Device Manager. You'll find a couple of BtCap, etc., entries with yellow exclamation marks.
Double-click on each to install the drivers, making it search for drivers where you unzipped the mmc71tw03 file.

Hey everyone, the ATi card is really great. The problem is the crappy software ATi gives with it's hardware. I found a way superior program that decodes the signal much better. The reason ATi has less then decent quality is because it uses directX, but the CyberLink PowerVCRII uses the Intel software, so the quality is near perfection. I immediately saw the difference, and recommend everyone use this software.

while everyone else got shafted on the Gateway Geforce 4 deal -

I went with a Radeon 8500 and TV wonder VE. Basically paid for a radeon and got the tv card for free.


I've got sound working with Dscaler - I just need better video settings(also need to buy some quality line splitters 1 cable modem, 4 tvs(1 digital cable box))

I'm not really sure how i got it working, philips NTSC, i have audio input on Tuner, i have a microphone plugged into the back on my VIA 97 codec(crappy Live doesn't like my kt266), but have the cable from the VE going into the Line In and on the volume control i have Line in Unmuted
in MSP/Radio i have TV terrest. FM MONO and mono selected
