Tv without coaxil port?

I have a hdtv without a coaxxil thingy, is there anything i could add to the television that would allow me to watch television through the tv?
i have the yellow/red/white plugs in the back however.

no coax? thats strange. Well, most VCRs, DVDs, ect support a Coax in, Composite out setup. That would be your best bet.

No its not. A lot of HD sets don't have tuners. Its essentially just a big monitor (they're not supposed to call them HDTVs technically if there's no tuner, but most still do). If you plan on using the set for digital cable or satellite, there's no need to have the tuner, so some just don't.

HD sets, usually come with a seperate Tuner box that will go into the HDMI
jack on the set ... I know that is how Sony does it. If it does have a coax input
it would be on that tuner unit, not the set itself.

Is there a way to get a coaxil cable service on a tv without a coaxil port and broken hdmi?
Is there a box that i can buy or cables that will convert that coaxil signal to component?

We're reading you question just fine. You have to buy an external HDTV tuner if you care about HD, if you don't any external ATSC tuner will work just fine.

If you subscribe to cable, ask for a box with component out which will typically come with their HD service. If you have a composite connection that works, a standard old cable box will work.

I agree with the above.

Just know that you will not get HD on that tv, ever. With a busted HDMI and just component connections you are basically gonna get sub-standard SD at best. I would really try to get that port fixed.

Uhh, you can get HD with component just fine. Just get a cable box with component. I'm pretty sure that all have component.

But he said his monitor only has composite. I meant to type composite and not component in my previous post.

Some Buisness-oriented TV's only have VGA/DVI and maybe one composite. Given that this has HDMI though, I too highly doubt it wouldn't have component.

Neither have I. I am just going by what the OP claims he has. I find it odd that the monitor would only have HDMI and composite. Even my old CRT tv had component and that was 6 years ago.

I have a TV with no coax, I use a TivoHD box to get OTA antenna and basic family cable to my tv through component.
