TWC (weather.com) has changed

Tonight I noticed the website layout has changed for TWC. I don't like the new look. TWC has always been flooded with adds, but it is even worse now, and more difficult to see my local weather forcast.

Any other regular TWC users notice the difference in this website?

It's always sucked. They just made the clutter even worse. At least they consolidated the forecasts into the menu bar on the left instead of that stupid horizontal strip running across the middle of the screen.

I swear the site used to be better years ago. If you've ever tried to find the UV index at weather.com good fvcking luck, I can never find it anymore.

Site is interminably cluttered, no doubt. I used adblock on chrome, though, and see no ads right now.

The site has no focus whatsoever. Is it trying to be a portal page? That's just so pathetic. I want weather, not other sh*t.

Their note back was that change always takes getting used to and it would be ok once I adjust to it and would then like their improvements. The only message these guys will understand is if people walk away (They will see the correlation between site usage drop and web redesign), so my weather bookmarks are now:-

It has a nice concise summary on one page.

Normally, I don't mind if layout is changed, but when the design is bad like this (e.g. hourly is now vertical and not horizontal etc etc)......... you need to walk

It's awful, they just clutter the pages with random information. I'm there to see the weather for an area, NOT to see what the local news is, the golf forecast or anything else. They have made something really simple into a complex mess.

The other weather sites are much more functional.

thanks guys, both these sites are great. I should have asked sooner what sites have better weather and rader that is bigger than my thumb. Both are bookmarked. I do also suggest BING for aggregating three forecasts:

I rarely use TWC. Before Ad-block, they were always crammed with ads. I get that Murph...There are so many better sites out there that are as accurate but better laid out.

It's always appeared to me that the weather channel just parrots the data from NOAA and commercializes it. i.e. NOAA provides it for free, and the weather channel more or less copies it and makes money off it.

I go to NOAA for a nice concise & ad-free (without needing ad blockers) format.
