I'd love to see a study on ten day forecasts. I've mentioned this before and can't recall if someone posted an answer. But, I'd be willing to bet that the accuracy on the tenth day is indistinguishable from simply using the historical average, adjusted for "well, it's been a warm spring so far, so let's go about 3 degrees above the historical average. Hmm, it rains on 25% of the days in May historically, so lets give it a 25% chance of showers."
