Also seems like there's a chance these use winbond UTT memory chips. A couple reviews are claiming crazy overclocks on high voltages. Sounds like it to me. If that's even close to true, then this is a STEAL for $110.

If you are lucky and get some windbond be aware they need lots of volts perform.

Same setup for me. Unfortunately I ordered some Corsair from ZZF and didn't catch it in time to cancel when I got the notification from Newegg that this was back in stock.

Ordered some of this as well. I'm going to use a modded BIOS on my DFI Lanparty UT-250 that will let me use up to 4.0v on the vDIMM. I'm thinking that 3.2v should be enough for me to hit 250FSB with CAS 2 but loose timings. OCZ covers their VX under warranty by up to 3.5-3.6v, I believe, so if you're running at 3.4v or under, I wouldn't worry about the TwinMOS being able to handle it or not. If it gets a bit hot at 3.4+, place a fan near the modules for a bit of a breeze to cool them down.

holy moly...twinmos UTT at this price is crazy...
This is making it harder and harder not to build my new OC rig...
Epox NF3U board+TwinMOS+Winchester 3000+=$350 upgrade that'll make my rig competitive with the fastest stock machines out there hmm...

if its utt, it doesnt like loose timings. you'll most likely get worse results with looser timings than 2-2-2

they dont get hot...but most people claim a fan helps with stability...if you were to touch it at 3.4v...they're barely warm

3.2 will very most likely not be enough for 250 with loose timings (see first sentence)...unless you get very good sticks. even then, you'd be lucky to get 250 fsb with 2-2-2, at any voltage nevertheless 3.2

no need to wait until windows is done. just look at the last four characters...if its aa4t, then its winbond...if its aadt, then its not

Mine as rebadged Twinmos ICs...something starting with "TM". So I will have to use CPU-Z or something similar to check in windows

It appears that TwinMOS got wise and are now puuting the UTT ICs in their SPeed Premiums.

I refuse to believe that you'd get worse results overclocking from 2-3-3 as opposed to 2-2-2. Anyway, just reporting back on what I found. My chips were CADT, so no winbond for me.

I think I got the UTT chips but it stops at AA4 in CPU-Z....should I be seeing the T?

Nevermind, think I answered my own question. running 245 at 2-3-3 at 3.2 after just a couple of minutes of tweaking. Guess I'll switch some jumpers tomorrow for more juice. Thanks guys, this is a helluva deal for the price.

I'm debating between getting this TwinMOS kit or a pair of mushkin blueline of the other posts. It sounds like blueline is confirmed and "guaranteed" TCCD chips. Has anyone order the TwinMOS lately and if so, did it have the AA4T (ie the TCCD) or AADT chip #?

I ordered the TwinMOS from NewEgg 2 weeks ago and they are AA4T WinBond UTT Chips. This is the memory to get if you can up the voltage on your MBD. You can always buy the OCZ Value VX and get them for sure. I hear they are being priced at around $115. It all depends how much $$ you have to spend and what motherboard you are pairing the memory with. If it is a tweaker board, i.e. DFI Lanparty, go for WinBond UTT or BH-5. They will go to 3.4-5 volts and run up to 245mhz 2-2-2 1T. Cheers!

OOS now... I think that the Value VX for 115 is a better deal, considering the risk, etc
