did not say anything was objective. im saying that it is not subjective in the way you're suggesting it is.

what is between subjective and objective then?

You said something is subjective until its case law. Is there something other than subjective and objective in this context?

So unless someone can make an argument that is not offensive, then shut the fuck up ammiright? If I want to say that the story of Noah's Ark does not make sense and is probably wrong, I should be banned if someone is offended right?
Nope.

But if you go into a church and say "Right you fucking cunts, that's all a load of bullocks!" I'd support their right to ask you to leave.

So would I. And I would agree that the person who did that was a dick. I would go even further and say they had more than the right to ask me to leave, but to force me to leave.

But, there is a huge difference in forcing your opinion on someone, and giving your opinion to someone.

GTFO nerd lol.

Side not, I actually wore a Darth Maul shirt on a plane, and a women asked if it was a devil picture, haha.

But, back to the point. Your argument was that there was something other than subjective and objective in this context, and that was vital to your point. So, is there something other than those two options in this context?

"Forcing" would involve tying the victim down so that they can't get away...

"Giving" would involve an escape mechanism for the victim so they could get away....

Is this correct? If not, could you clean up your definitions?

Close, but I would disagree with the victim part. Me telling my mom that God is not real does not make her a victim. Milo saying the things he said does not make her a victim. The people saying the shit to her is different, as it would become harassment at that point, but from what I saw, Milo did not harass her by my definition.

It also gets more complicated, because me sending you a text message, means you dont know if it will offend until after you read it. If you dont like it, you cant unread it.

If Fox News purchased YouTube from Google and started controlling what was allowed based on political leaning, would this represent a problem to free speech?

technically, no. they are businesses and short of discrimination they dictate what is said on their media outlets. There are other web search engines and other sites that host video content. Google and youtube are by far the most dominant, at least in the US. So it would be an inconvenience at first and then just be status quo after a while. Adapt and adjust.

So you agree that it's not always the argument but how you make the argument that's the problem?

But, there is a huge difference in forcing your opinion on someone, and giving your opinion to someone.

There's also a difference in engaging in polite discussion and interjecting an offensively constructed argument when it's not wanted and you've been asked not to.

No. I am saying that people being happy that speech they do not like being limited is a bad thing. I do not agree with Milo or how he does things, but I don't like shutting him up either. Its the reason I don't block anyone here, even though I think they are idiots.

Milo is a troll. So long as he does not advocate anything illegal, or do anything illegal himself, I would argue that we should leave it be. If twitter disagrees, fine, its their platform. I am just arguing against the argument that its good that he was silenced.

He was banned for harassment. He wouldn't have been banned if he hadn't gone after Jones personally after getting banned previous for the same shit. Plenty of alt-right figures spewing garbage on the level of ISIL aren't banned.

This situation really isn't that hard to figure out.

Yeah. A subjective decision based on precedent is quite a bit less subjective than one with no precedent. Lots of legislation and lots of case law around all these issues.

What do you think free speech is? Just because the government does not limit it, does not mean others do not. You can limit free speech other ways than through the government.

Do you not realize these things?

Twitter is a service, not a right. MeeLo has his free speech and he repeatedly used his free speech on their service. They banned his account for repeated abuse of their terms (that he agreed to when he signed up for their service) and yet he still has his free speech since him and his Flying Ass Monkeys of the Apocalypse (OP) are all over the internet whining about it.

Free speech does not mean you can speak out without consequences.

Did he call him names *because* he's gay? No. Did he say mean things about him *because* he's gay? No. No homophobia, textbook or otherwise.
That has never mattered before. See also, "dog whistle" -ism.

Also, denying it only proves it. Why don't you tell me about your gay friends?

Conservatives have been very oppressed by people not allowing them to slur gay people without consequence.

I hope conservatives are able to manage in this world despite all the obstacles put in place by mean liberals. If I were them I would try concern trolling.

This is a clever way that Milo plays to his audience. He purposely acts the flaming homosexual, and when any adversary comments on the excess he jumps on the cross.

His dummy fanbase genuinely believe that's how bigotry works. They're never going to learn any better so nobody's ever the wiser.

I hope that you don't think that you're convincing anyone with that line of "logic".

The alt-right believes what they're mimicking is common when there's 10x+ more whiny bitching from them than any sjw.

They're little more than a self-fulfilling parody at this point.

Oh right! Thats what he's doing?

Thats a shitty way to get your point across when the people who you're addressing haven't heard the people that you're mimicking.

One of the dangers of living in a bubble l guess.

I feel like a Nietzsche quote would be appropriate here, but I also think he's baby's first 2deep4me. I don't follow the alt-right so I don't know how vocal they are.

You have the most ironic name around here.

If only you knew how much I enjoy superlatives.

I hardly run in conservative circles, but there's only been ~1 sjw in my facebook feed but more of these alt-right types whinging about sjw persecution. I expect most people to know ~0 sjws and even more of the latter.
