So I am behind on the times and I'm thinking about a Twitter account.

I use twitter to keep up on sports and that is it. Sports news seems to come out faster on twitter than it does anywhere else.

Anything really worth it that wouldn't get posted elsewhere?

That's my issue with Twitter, anything on there really worth a damn will be posted elsewhere without having to deal with all the gibberish and hashtag bs and abundance of self-important jackasses.

I could possibly see it for some interaction with "celebrities" (I know people that do PMs or whatever with athletes and use it to bring attention of certain things to them).

Nope, it's more for rare offers like CrashPlan offering coupons, Twitter + Amex promotions, stuff like that.

If I want to follow celebrities, I'll read my wife's People magazine.
