Does anyone else see this as the end of this show. Charlie Sheen brought a lot of humor to the show that i just don't see Ashton Kutcher doing with his girly long hair and stubble excuse for a beard. Check out the promo, soon as Ashton Kutcher pops up, you hear this annoying girly voice. He tuxedo shirt looks one size too small.

The great thing about Charlie Sheen is that his character was pretty much his real life. In essence your seeing what Charlie is like in real life. Sort of like reading the Enquirer without having to pay for it.

We can predict all we want, but we have no idea what direction the show is going to go. It might suck, it might be awesome. Who knows. Watch it on Monday THEN make your comments.

John Cryer, Angus T. Jones, Holland Taylor, Marin Hinkle, Conchata Ferrel and the other supporting cast members did most of the heavy lifting anyway. The main attraction to me was the writing, and I don't think that will change. I really hate this for Melanie Lynskey, though; she is so freakin' great in this, and just as she's poised to become a much bigger part Sheen has his melt-down.

If I had to bet though, I'd guess Sheen's new show flops, Kutcher gets bored of not being "the star", ratings drop, and Sheen and Lorre reconcile to bring Charlie Harper back from the dead with a case of mistaken identity.

I can see this happening.

The show never really appealed to me, but I think it started get noticeably worse when the kid started getting older.

I would normally agree with this, but I don't rule out success just yet. The reason I cannot rule it out is cause shows like "The housewives of ....." and "Jersey Shore" and about 562 different CSI shows continue to infest the market. So there is no telling what the rest of society will do with it.

They didn't screw up letting Charlie go, they just screwed up in getting Kutcher to replace him. He's not going to carry the show.

So what role is kutcher playing? Is he replacing charlie, or is he a new character all together? How does he fit in with the existing family?

No family connection. Supposedly he's a lonely heartbroken internet gazillionaire who buys the house after Charlie dies. Presumably he let's Alan and Jake stay.

You guys know what's funny? At the 49ers' seasons opener last week, they were heavily promoting 2 & 1/2 man, but not the new show, the ad was for the ORIGINAL show.

The appeal of the show was the Sheenism, and the delivery, which Kutcher doesn't have, and never had.

The show has very good writers but it's up to the actors to deliver the goods. Charlie's delivery in that show was a big part of it's success, plus the supporting cast played a key role. I personally can't stand Ashton Kutcher, I don't think he's a good actor, he's mediocre at best. Charlie Sheen is not a great actor but he's better than Kutcher IMO. I have no clue how well it'll do, we'll see.
