I can totally see that happening after hearing how eggs form in a chicken when I was a little kid and seeing double-yolk eggs for sale all the time. I wonder what would have happened if they were fertilized and incubated? The inner egg likely would have suffocated fast.

I like the eggs with blood spots. They taste like chicken :^P

Got one of those yesterday. Delicious.

Anyways, I've gotten the infamous "double yolk" egg a few times in my life. They're out there, but I've never seen one with the sheer size of the one in that video

I don't think I could pop one open on a flat surface that easily. Also, I don't think pieces of shells get into my eggs as often as he makes it out.

I used to always, and I mean always, crack eggs on the edge of a bowl or pan with no ill effects other than the occasional shell piece. Then, I began cracking them on a flat surface like a counter top and I've been doing so for years. Yesterday, I cracked a couple of eggs on a mixing bowl (not sure why I switched it up) and shell pieces fell into the food...maybe I've lost my touch :|

I don't think it's you. I think that "egg manufacturers" have gotten the balance down as low as they can go - just enough strength in the shells so that they survive until you're ready to use them. If you compare most store-bought eggs to eggs from a farm that isn't worried about their own costs to produce eggs, you'll see that the shells are thicker and stronger on the farm. And, providing the extra minerals costs money.

I read somewhere to crack em on a flat surface in order to prevent the innards from being contaminated with salmonella.

The dude has all the mannerisms of a show magician. I wouldn't be surprised if its fake.

probably not fake, but he knew exactly what was inside before he cracked it, hence the camera and the dramatic display. Farmers use light to see inside eggs to check 'em out, which is how double egg yolks are supposed to be filtered out.
