According to a classmate, the guy with the white hat was extremely normal. Nothing out of the ordinary, wrestled very successfully, and had plenty of friends, received a scholarship. She knew him since he was 14 (now 19.)

Yeah but he's going to college here, went to high school here, and this girl they're interviewing didn't even realize he came from another country.

The guy was "American". He's been here for at least 4 years. So now we're going back to when he was 15.

Well so-called friends calling in to CNN say they went to high school with the suspect and have known him for years; Uncle says they've been in the US for 7 years, so I'm not sure there was any foreign indoctrination/training.

People listening in to scanner chatter heard the names Sunil T and Mike M but it may have been a separate case or unrelated incident. Apparently this Sunil guy has been missing since March but has been spotted on surveillance video since going missing (not connected to marathon bombings).

As a newer reader of Twitter.. the Dorner saga was very well covered in my experience. This shows major pitfalls.. and hopefully everyone slamming the MSM over their coverage eat a bit of crow at the mess social media made of this story.

Looking back it seems like most major outlets held back on identifying Sunny and Mike.. I had the wrong impression because I was so focused on Twitter.

Add in the white guy in red shirt/blue coat and backpack, who was the prime suspect of maybe most people online.. this thing has created a few more victims.

Love all the speculation. Guy speaking on CNN is speculating the younger brother was more "normal" but could've fallen under the influence of his older brother, whom photojournalist Johannes Hirn has documented as saying "I'm very religious".

What I have learned from the news is that he might be heavily armed or he might not. He might be alive or he might be dead. He might be in a house with hostages or maybe not. Etc.
