Was the MIT officer killed an actual cop or a campus security officer? Cop killers will get different treatment.

Not the same, Dorner was just a cop killer who worked alone. Kill him and case is closed. Kill this guy and you also kill a good lead on possible terrorist connections and plots. They definitely want him alive if possible but they also won't go out of their way to do it, they will put him down if he's a danger to the authorities.

the cops get to emotional over it. When a better idea is to catch them alive (dorner) they will kill him because he killed a cop.

Though in this case the FBI is in charge. they willw ant him alive. so if they can they will.

Personally, I'm hoping that no one else is injured in getting suspect #2. And, I feel compelled to point out that just because they are Miuslim, doesn't mean this was some sort of jihadist attack, any more than when some Christian doing something similar would be a religiously motivated attack.

Just to be clear the guys are Russians from Kyrgyzstan, not Chechnya. They may have sympathized with the Chechens. Both appear to be LPRs and in the states for the past 7-8 years.
