so the incorrect suspect was naked? or the real suspect? why was there a guy naked!

Because at that point in the night they had already detained the older brother who was in the process of dying. The older brother reportedly had an explosive vest. They were being precautious when they detained the guy in the video thinking he was one of the suspects.

Even if he wasn't naturalized there would be no legal way for the US Govt to send him to Gitmo or never try him. If you are caught on US soil you are tried in US courts of law. There is no way around it.

Odds are if he lives through his injuries. He will get the federal death penalty and it will be at least a decade before its carried out. In the mean time he'd be placed in solitary confinement. He'll be treated the same way McVeigh was.

Oh I agree. Was simply making my point even stronger.

Terrorism and using weapon of mass destruction? Death penalty.

I don't agree with this. Let this bastard live and allow victims families to torture him......let him live in complete misery (of course our prison system can't really do that well).

Putting him out of his misery is doing him a favor.

I think every taxpayer should care. A fortune was spent on a manhunt that could have been finished in an hour, including the time to bring a dog to the scene. People were removed from their houses, house by house while SWAT teams searched their houses. That was 100% avoidable by simply bringing in a tracking dog. Basically, the search was completely incompetent, especially if true that the evidence he was in the boat was found by a resident after the residents were told they could come out now.

I think it's way too early for Monday morning quarterbacking. The guy is in custody, we're in the process of finding a motive and piecing this whole thing together.

I mean, why are you to be considered an authority in this matter anyway?

Probably several people were apprehended and questioned before being cleared and released in the past many hours, but they are referring to one who was captured on video early on in before anyone in the media had confirmation as to what exactly was going on. The police made him strip butt nake, cuffed him, stuffed him, questioned him, re-questioned him, got him in and out of the car in front of the whole world. Later it was revealed he was cleared, but at the time it cause much confusion because by then many were speculating and suspecting based on the rapidly increasing police presence and the scanner traffic, that this was indeed related to the Marathon bombings, and there were only two of them, so some surmised it was over. Later we were surprised to find out it was not by a long shot.

He created an account to tell everyone that suspect #1 was questioned in 2011 by the FBI for extremist activity.

What he didn't mention is that it was request of a foreign government (that they have not named) that put him through that questioning, and it was quickly dismissed.

It was certainly mentioned, and was even stated in the twitter CBS News link posted.

Care to take a guess as to who those suspects are in the photos i posted? and how did they escape the bomb blasts, unlike so many other unfortunate americans?

And, what the hell makes you an authority on when it's too early for Monday morning quarterbacking? It was an incompetent search, especially if the rumors are true about the shed & resident finding the blood. Overlooking something like that put the public at serious risk. It's fortunate that it turned out the way it did.

I just find it hard to believe that they didn't employ tracking dogs.

I wonder what kind of deal he can get if he has any kind of valuable intel.

They had many dogs. I saw video of an obviously trained tracking dog with its handler. I have witnessed live fire dog demonstrations and talked extensively to the trainer. I am certain that the PD was using tracking dogs based on what I saw. So they failed. Not saying that a better pair wouldn't have, just that I wouldn't be so hasty to assume they didn't because the guy wasn't in custody last night.

Yeah, wtf did the close down a whole city looking for 1 person. It was a total overkill but hell cops like to play cops and robbers and use all their high tech toys. When else would they get the chance to bring out all their toys.

Accidentally put a bullet in this kids head after he has been questioned. Of course now we get to spend money on his trial or any legal aspects.
