I guess he'll have to type his statement (or refuse to) instead, before he's sentenced to death or a life long term in prison.

My thought is that he will talk. If he was willing to give up like that he probably wasn't not the alpha in the group. He was afraid to die.

The sensationalism of this thing has gotten way out of hand. CNN talking ad nauseam about the boat the guy was in, and the thermal images. Non stop.. all day long. Over and over and over. You'd think man landed on Mars or something.

And yet, you watched enough of it to know this...

I mean, if you don't like what you're seeing..switch the channel or turn off the TV?

I saw about thirty seconds of CNN coverage this evening before I changed the change. It was them re-enacting the police search of someone's house with the owner giving a narrative in Boston. Freaking useless.

Sounds like he put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger, but managed to miss anything vital.

Glad to hear they caught the guy. I almost feel sorry for him, he lost his brother, and now his life is ruined (and most likely will get the chair), why do people do these things? They should know better it's not going to end well for them. Why kill and injure so many innocents, what's the point? I feel much more sorry for the victims. People who lost friends and family, and people who lost limbs and will be impacted for the rest of their life. Just terrible that a nice fun day turned into hell so fast.

Hopefully they can get more information out of him and find out if anyone else is behind this.

We always have the news on at work so I followed most of the news from the start, I thought it was pretty hilarious when they started using tanks, but hey, if you have those toys now's the time to use them LOL.

The best was this one scene they showed where they had tanks and lot of other military style vehicles passing by, with heavy armored cops with machine guns running around, and right smack in the middle of the road, a news guy with a camera on a tripod. LOL Do news people get danger pay for that? lol

Wow... sounds like Suspect #2 ROADKILLED his own brother!

http://news.yahoo.com/suburb-becomes-war-zone-days-bombings-021315038.html

The suspects tossed grenades. Tamerlan Tsarnaev got within 10 feet of officers involved in the shootout before he ran out of ammunition and was tackled. Police put him down and began to handcuff him when Dzhokhar Tsarnaev drove the stolen car at them.
"They dove out of the way at the last second and he ran over his brother, dragged him down the street and then fled," Deveau said.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev died. Though bleeding, his younger brother fled the car and eluded the officers. Police locked down the region and searched house to house in Watertown.

It's not really sympathy. It's more like pity. Those were two intelligent, young people, who lived in a good area with the opportunity for a good life and their minds degenerated enough that they killed a bunch of people. It's sad. Man, when everyone becomes hungry for revenge and can't have the tiniest amount of pity we will be in trouble.

Yes, they were/are shitty, horrible people, and I hope the younger one gets the death sentence and am glad the other is dead, but it doesn't mean one can't have any sort of pity/sympathy/whatever for another person, no matter how awful they are.

I dunno if that makes sense.

Especially the 19yr old...that kid was well liked, had a great future in front of him, and seems to have been influenced by his crazy brother.

19 year olds have no idea what the fuck they're doing, this kid had problems - but think back when you were 19. You were still a child, in college or not - thinking you know what life is. The 26 year old was his father figure, and an idiotic one at that.

They deserve every bit of what has happened to them since their horrible act. The living one deserves all he pain and suffering he experiences from now on. No one is more deserving of pain, trouble, and difficulty than these two monsters.

Yes, it's sad that they chose this route. I do not feel sorrow for any suffering those two experience since their attack began.

when I was 19 I was in the army. I was trained in law enforcement (mostly riot control), firearms, explosives, first aid etc. etc., I had more responsibilities than most adults will ever have and if I fucked up, people would die... when you're 19 you're only a kid if you act like one, I was grown ass man when I was 19 and I shouldered the responsibility perfectly fine.

once upon a time a 19 year old was basically supposed to be going through a midlife crisis (except they hadn't been invented yet, people were too busy surviving).

It does. The most horrible acts can be committed by tragic figures. It does not excuse the crime but it does recognize the situation in a larger context.

I have no sympathy. Little pos dropped a bomb next to a family with an 8 yo boy standing there and walked off smiling. Fuck him and his brother that became roadkill.

What situation? Pics I saw showed two good looking healthy young males with the older one having a very good looking girlfriend. If they we're raised in Africa and had to club their mother to death because of rebel soldiers that'd be one thing. These two had every opportunity anyone else had. I agree with their uncle they are just losers.

I revise my sentence to say most 19 year olds. There are exceptions to every rule. Most people are not in the army. Most 19 year olds have no idea what life is about, and to me that is a child.

In addition to being almost universally wrong, the theories developed via social media complicated the official investigation, according to law enforcement officials. Those officials said Saturday that the decision on Thursday to release photos of the two men in baseball caps was meant in part to limit the damage being done to people who were wrongly being targeted as suspects in the news media and on the Internet.

Only in modern day America. In other parts of the world, a boy becomes a man at 14, marries, fights a revolutionary war, and can handle his liquor without running around like clowns in the street.

More arrests to come, two were allegedly part of 12-person sleeper cell: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-...unting-12-strong-1844844#.UXM54Yqm6hA.twitter

Something is still not right here. A 12-person cell should have been able to kill more people. 4 dead and possibly dozens severely injured (just a guess) is a relatively small attack. Billy Bob in his basement could have done "better" than that.

Either I misunderstand their goals (I'm assuming to kill the most people), they failed, or this was part of a larger strategy possibly to disrupt law enforcement resources. I had been absolutely sure this was a lone wolf in the beginning since the attack was relatively simple/minor

This story says the complete opposite, I'll believe the Boston Globe over the Mirror any day.
