So much for the vaunted Costco lifetime membership satisfaction guarantee. Maybe too many people abused it?

Seems like a pretty good price. Does anyone happen to know how this would compare to something like Samsung 37" LN37A550,
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ol...&cp=1&id=1205537541429 ? I grabbed this TV a few weeks ago but so far the picture hasn't been what I've expected, text is blurry when using hdmi cable from my computer

The national average price of a good brand 1080p 46" TV should be about $1000 and for a 42" should be around $800. Huge sales and the state of the economy is helping driving prices down. This deal is very good considering the brand, it does cost $50 to join and there are taxes to pay. getting them home is another challenge.

If the TV has a specially labeled "HDMI/DVI" or "computer" input, make sure to use it. Also, your TV should support at least one of the following settings: set the display mode to "computer", disabling overscan, and enabling a 1:1 pixel mapping mode. They all mean roughly the same thing - they make your TV behave like a monitor instead of a TV - instead of trying to improve the picture by getting rid of the artifacts you sometimes see at the edges, especially edges of SD programs, it will try to display the picture as faithfully to the original input as possible.
