If you have followed the reporting over the past year, historically reporting on weekends is not that accurate, simply because the bean counters have the weekend off.If you run out of beds and add more you end up with more available beds than last week.
If you admitted 1000 people last week. Ran out of beds at 800 people this week and told the rest sorry, no more room...that's not also a *real* decrease in hospitalizations last week. Right now it's hard to get objective assessments. Some states just aren't even trying (Nebraska I see...or rather...don't see you).
I don't expect significant change until actions are taken, mask mandates, lock-downs, etc. And keep in mind that almost half of Florida residents ARE vaccinated, so the number of people on the field is much lower now, yet still posting 20% higher than the peak before the vaccine was available.
