Hi,

Does anyone know if the new 760MPX based Thunder is going to use the same special power supply? Is it also going to be 12x13 still?

I originally wanted to build a K7 based 4U rack mount system that would fit in an SKB shock case, but I gave up on finding a chassis that would take the special power supply, the ATX full form factor board, and still ring in under the 23.75" max depth required by the shock case.

It is capable of using a standard ATX power supply. It just uses one of your outputs in conjunction with the standard leads.

I'm really looking forward to this board! I'm about to build a dual athlon server, couldn't ask for more perfect timing. I'm wondering though, does the 66mhz pci bus with the 760MPX chipset really matter in a 1U rackmount server environment? I mean, with the dual onboard scsi, onboard graphics and LAN, what exactly would I use a PCI slot for? Or is the onboard stuff affected by this 64bit/66mhz bus? Forgive me, this is my first server build

SCSI RAID
Fibre Cards
Some 1GHz Ethernet cards

But you probably wouldn't be doing that in a 1U.
