I thank god everday for getting out of that line of work. Customers are so god aweful on those days, like everything revolves around them. Or the famous quote "Do you know how much i spend here every year!?!?!?"

Funny when you say no Sir/Mam I dont know how much you spend, but should I treat that guy better than you because I know he spends an EASY 3 million a year in here?!?!?

Maybe some people have to work there to get through school, or for other reasons. Not everybody could be as fortunate as you seem to be. Having a job at Walmart's doesn't demean a working person. The majority out there can't be a doctor or engineer, they just get along. Give them a break!

I work in retail, 7-11 and I have to tell you 2 things (1) the vast majority of employees are far nicer than you would think given the crap they have to deal with from customers on a day to day basis and (2) is the crap they have to deal with on a day to day basis. I get the feeling that we are only seeing one side of the story here from the OP. I'm not saying this didn't happen like this but the vast majority of people I meet, even those who don't give the best customer service would never speak to someone like that unless they were spoken to in kind.

I'm a manager in retail, and we get those form responses from Blockbuster corporate faxed to us when someone lodges a complaint. You wouldn't believe some of the wild stories people make up to get some sort of credit in the future. Not saying that the OP is guilty of the same thing, but it's always in the realm of possibility, especially since he hasn't even bothered to update since then.

Know what's funny? We always tell the customers that the registers would lock-up at a certain time past closing hours and they could not check-out anymore. It always makes their visit "short and quick".

Sorry, didn't think this would cause allot of commotion. I went back to Walmart that following Monday. I spoke with the "assistant manager" as the main one was not available. I told the manager exactly what happened. From his expression it looked like it was falling on deaf ears! I then went and got a pack of DVD-R's and Billy Madison special addition DVD to use up the gift card so I don't ever have to go back to that dump! At this point all I could do is write a letter to their corporate offices but I have a feeling I would get the same response as I did from the store manager. I did look around for that punk when I was there as I had a few choice words for him but I didn't see him anywhere in the store.
