U.S. Death Toll in Iraq for Nov. Tops 100

AP Military Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Three Marines who were wounded in action during the Fallujah offensive later died at American hospitals in Germany and the United States, the Pentagon said Monday, raising the U.S. military death toll in Iraq for November to at least 101.

Yeah, this is nothing like Vietnam where we averaged 12 KIA per day, we're only averaging 3 in Iraq.

Miliraty wants more troops to control the situation and keep from sustaining an even higher loss.

The 'Non-Military ChickenHawks' want to cut back on the Military staffing in Iraq as a political posturing,
hell the Military don't know anything about wars and fighting - ask Rumsfeld and his staff.

so 100 dead and some on this forum STILL say these are "pockets" of resistance in "some" areas of Iraq while most of Iraq is peaceful and happy at the US invasion?

I'm still waiting to see the flowers and the red carpet that were supposedly going to welcome the US forces. :roll:

100+ US soldiers dead means... more than 100 insurgents dead, and probably more than 100 innocent iraqi civilians dead.

This is the cost of an optional war. Not to mention the billions being spent here. I hope the US is sucessful in this misadventure; don't think we wil be though. Welcome to a quagmire.

I am gonna hold my opinion until after the election in January. But if there is no exit strategy after that, this is a waste of American lives. We can't be staying in there forever hoping a democratic government will emerge to our liking. It's just not gonna happen. No occupied country is gonna democratically elect a government friendly to the occupier.

Thats why I ask (above) if people thought they should see the beheadings, and American troop death scenes/photos. When you hear x-number of American's killed, it just goes in one ear and out the other any more. But when you see photos of bodies missing arms, legs, heads and burnt black, it brings it to reality. These are American's here, kids from our home towns. If Bush is so macho, let him go over for 6 months and serve, like a "real" man. Or, send his two daughters (yea, like he'd ever put HIS family in danger). I think anyone and all that support Bush should see the reality going on over there. But..."they" don?t want you to!
