According to the old testament, god rose in a pillar of fire (probably a burning bush) and told the Israelites that land was theirs. Is this what you mean by claim?

Also by taking this land, they had to break the commandment of "Thou shall not kill" and also "Thou shall not steal". Because they slaughtered the Phillistines, and took their land. And were told to leave nothing alive, men, women, children, animals. Everything had to be slaughtered. God told them as such. But they didn't. They kept the animals and the women. ()

I think we can both agree that if Israel was as hell-bent on exterminating the Palestinians, they would have already done it. They have the capability, at any time, to round up all of them and to invade all their neighbors and slaughter everyone, but they don't.

The USA was founded on the principle that everyone is born equal, and its stood America in good stead. America may not be perfect, but the current Israel government is totally wrong and off to inevitable end if it believes Jews have hereditary rights superior to all of Israel's residents. Its simply an Apartheid idea simply no longer Kosher in the 21'th century.

America has had its own issues with domestic groups, and we haven't handled that too well. America is also not Israel.

Jews haven't possessed that land for almost 2000 years prior, and there were tribes of people there in that area before the Jews, so your argument is not really valid.

Many Jews and others in region back in Biblical times converted to Christianity and/or Islam throughout the years after that, while the term "Arab" has expanded from people from the Arabian desert to people from the Arabian peninsula.Yet those changes in regions and terminology doesn't overrule the fact that Palestinians are largely descended from people who've been living in the region since the beginnings of recorded history.

Claims don't matter, and their claims are based on what you called old testament bullshit, god gave them that land, etc. There is no legitimate claim.

That would be like Italy making the claim to Istambul, because it used to be Constantinople, part of the Eastern Roman empire.

Yet no one seems to grasp the fact, that a rotten past can't be changed, and only the future matters. But I am still a living witness, that long standing violent conflicts can be resolved. The Irish English conflicts that lasted close to 400 year, is now basically solved, the South African Apartheid State, now only history is kaput, and no Virginia, it did not result in a blood bath of Violence and African revenge. A cold war between Russia and the USA between 1946-1990 is now defused. I could cite other examples but why bother, hostility and violence between near neighbors is so stupid and counter productive.

But in MHO, its time for Israel to admit and embrace, the fact that their one sided hostility, piggishness, in the mid-east is no longer viable. And now trying to delay the inevitable is no longer possible.

In world history, hundreds of such conflicts have been solved, and the opportunity of mutual co-operation always outweighs the human motive of revenge. And no place on earth is is the lesson more compelling than in Israel, now equally holy to Christians, Jews, and Muslims. As each religion, in their turn, has tried to pig it all, and that greed has never lasted more than about a 100 years in the 5000+ years of Israeli history.

Isn't it time to learn the biblical history lesson, its long past time to share Israel fairly.
