Yeah riiiiiight, I am sure the FBI could catch a pirate. Hell, they could have 10 agents in an apartment full of bootlegs and warez and computers churning out copies along with 2 dopey greasy hair kids and they still would get it all wrong. One agent would write a report while the others go to lunch at Sizzlers..and in 3-20 years the report would show up from under a pile of Krispy Kreme stale donuts.

Hey, I go to RIT! Good thing I live off campus now. I did suspect that there was some major warez trading going on. The school installed dual OC-3 lines to provide higher bandwidth, since freshman were running so many warez servers, people who needed to access the network for online classes from off campus couldn't.

I remember reading in an email from the school that before they upgraded the network (when it was still a T3), three people were using over 50% of the bandwidth, running FTP servers. I also remember that during my freshman year (3-4 years ago), there was a major warez site hosted by some people in the dorm building I lived in.

Just a question..(not that I know anything about this type of thing ....if the warez were located on a host, where the host was in a country that did not recognize US patent laws and the like, could the corporations do anything about it?

Only thing I can think is to threaten the country to do something about it...
