Uber HOT PNY Geforce ti4200 64mg AGP (poss 128mg) 79$ at BBY (Dead)

Come back from hard forum. Someone took the heatsink off and found out the 128MB version uses 16MBx8 DDR memories, 64MB version uses 8MBx8 memories. Now it is clear they are different cards. Go for 128MB version if you can.

BB doesnt carry the TI4200 where I am at, however, the CompUSA has the PNY Ti4200 without the sticker, last one, but the price is $169.99. They dont even have a MIR at CompUSA. (NM it ended yesterday, just my luck.)


Is there anyway I can get that one for the $79.99? I have until midnight, they are holding it for me.

Only if you have a Best Buy that has it in stock so that CompUSA can call them, confirm it's in stock and then price match it.
CompUSA rebate can only be redeemed if it was bought within specified dates for rebate.

well, i took mine out the box from day after thanksgiving (which didn't have stickers) and guess what? it's an agp! hahaha
no for real, it's 64mb and i bum card -- can't even sit on the desktop for a minute with out freezing the machine up
so thanks to everybody for hyping this so much -- i might've have waited six more months and been really jacked up

just got back from BB(City of Industry, CA) used the in-store computer to check the price online, still shows up as $79.99, however you have to add the item to cart in order to get that price.......

Probably the last day at Best Buy. You'll have to go B&M and order it on-line at their computer kiosk. The $79.99 price will come out when you check out. And only if there is a CompUSA in your area. In your case there is one at Sacramento,CA.

CompUSA $30 rebate ended Thursday, March 20th.

I went to my local BB on the way home Thursday and they had three. I didn't remember everything I read here so I went home and checked this posting again then went back and got one for $79.99+tax. Just opened it up and it only has heat sinks on one side, each side of the fan. The sticker on the static bag and the card says AGP 8X (GFTI4200AGP8X). This card feels like it's got 8oz of metal in the fan and two heat sinks on each side of the fan.


Edit: I noticed the photo on the back of box looks exactly like the card I found inside except for the colors in the photo were off.

Edit: I noticed PNY's web page only shows the TI4200 as a 128meg. Looks like they only make the 128 meg. So did they just stop making the 64 meg and just start shipping the 128 meg? Linky to PNY TI4200

Kiosk in Woodland Hills, CA was still adding the card at $79.99 + tax with free shipping this afternoon. I used a printout of the order to PM a card I picked up at CC (last one) to: $169.99 - $99.00 = $70.99 + tax. The card was a AGP8X 64MB card, no sticker on the front of the box. Not much to complain about for $75 or so.

I have an extra PNY ti4200 64 MB. It still sealed and haven't been opened.. it doesn't have the "64 beats 128" sticker.

I'd like to get $95 for it since I paid $87 and think $8 for my searching time isn't too much to ask. For pickup if u are in the Northest Suburbs of Chicago.

How did I manage to screw up such a killer deal? First I went to BB today to buy the card but they were OOS so I took the price tag off the shelf figuring I could use it at some other place. Well that just blew up in my face. So I went to circuit city to see if they had any and what do I find 2 of them left unfortunately with the sticker. I didn't care though cause I'm using a V3 3000 right now. I took them up to the service desk and asked the lady to pm it. I showed her the tag that I had taken from BB and she couldn't believe the price and insisted that she call BB. I didn't care cause I knew the price was $80 bucks. 15 minutes later somebody at BB finally picked up the phone. She told them the situation and they went to look up the price unfortunately "tag was missing." So they told her to go by the price on the website which as we all know is 169.99. So they refused my pm. Needless to say I was pissed as hell.
A few hours later I picked my friend up and we went to BB to return the tag. Before I did that though I asked if they would give me a rain check but they refused saying that the "card will not be in for weeks." So i put the tag back and went to circuit city so my friend would go in and pm the cards. I couldn't believe it when the he walked out empty handed. I asked him what happened and he said the manager came up with some bs story about that not being the real price. Shot down yet again. We stopped at a bunch of other stores but nobody else had them in stock.
So if anybody feels like cutting me a deal on one of the cards they don't want let me know. Thanks and I hope you guys get as good a laugh as me and my friend did.

Also, if every sales manager had that mentality, then Why the hell did Best Buy match CompUSA's after rebate price in the first place?! They could have just said they did while hiding them too, but they didn't. If they were willing to do that, then ALL Circuit City stores should be willing to honor their price matching policy in regard to it.
