I really want to like Ubuntu: sleek, different, great Gnome implementation. I tried the 5.10 LiveCD, didn't detect my wireless, couldn't configure it aftwerwards, same old problems.
I've never tried Linux before. Maybe I'll give this a spin. Would you recommend I install the full thing on a separate partition or just use the live cd?
Does it actually support some diff wireless authentication protocols finally?

Better than 64bit. Its too late anyway since I already installed Kubuntu 5.10. Its looks nice. The only thing is I can't set the resulotion above 1024x780 like the previous version. So now my question is how do I set my resolution above that?Better than what?

Most of the stuff should be the same for 5.10, but I can't say for sure since I haven't really used either.
There is no root password, but default the account is disabled and you must use sudo to do priviledged operations. So run 'sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf' and you should be fine.
