So I applied to UCSD around 3 years ago, and besides the rejection letter, have heard nothing from them in 3 years... until I get this letter in the mail telling me that I should call Experian, Trans Union, or Equifax and tell them that I am at risk of credit fraud...
Apparently, several computers on the Business and Financial Services network at the university were broken into, and were used for "illegal file storage".... things that just happened to also be on these computers were my SS number, name, address, blah blah... just about everything somebody would need to order a CC in my name... or several CCs in my name. Good job, UCSD.
anyone else get one of these letters? I just got mine, and it says here that the guy had access to all this stuff as of April 16, 2004.
ugh.
