Mir will again twist Brock into a pretzel, albeit a very LARGE pretzel.

GSP will give a performance on par with the p4p best fighter in world after delivering a fast-paced, dominant showing over Alves.

I fully expect Hendo to leave knuckle prints in Bisping's overrated face.

Fitch and Akiyama should take their wins without much trouble.

As much as I hate Penis chest..i mean Brock, he is going to beat Mir unless he gets sloppy and caught in a submission.
GSP always wins. Period. Him, Silvia, and Penn are basically unbeatable in their respective weight classes (until the UFC gets some real talent in those divisions).
Bisping is going to beat one of my favorite fighters of all time (makes me sad).

But on the upside, I'm going to have a huge party.

As much as I hate to admit it, GSP will probably win. Dang Canadians .. TBH he is one of the most dominant fighters I've seen.

I hope Henderson stomps Bisping face in so that mouth of his quits working.

Brock has possibly the best take down defense the UFC has ever seen. His wrestling + his size and speed means he will dictate where the fight goes and where it stays. Mir won't knock him out, he couldn't possibly pull off a standing submission either. And he won't be able to take him down. If Brock keeps the fight standing, he will murder Mir. In his 3 UFC fights Brocks punch to knock down ratio is crazy. He put Mir on his ass with basically a jab. A year plus later his striking will be even better. If Lesnar decides to take Mir down, Mir will definitely have a good chance at a leg lock. Standing though, I just don't see him dealing well with Brocks power.
Mir's BJJ is the only real chance he has here, we'll see if Brocks BJJ defense is advancing as fast as people who train with him claim.

He did put Mir down on his ass, but we don't know how iron his jaw is. Looking back at his fight vs Randy - he took some punches, threw some at Randy. He landed a pretty clean shot to the temple which put him down, but other than that, he was not the killer he was vs Mir the first fight nor vs Heath.

I'm a Brock fan - he really needs to keep it standing much like you said, and just brawl. Let's just hope he doesn't get caught like Antonio did with Mir. I think we're underestimating Mir's standup...it was 1000x better than what I remember.

Way overrated? He's plowed through everyone in the division. At their game. His wrestling, striking, jui jitsu, GNP are all top notch. Thiago presents a good challenge in that he seems to be well rounded as well

In an interview he said that his standup now is leagues ahead of what it was when he fought Nogueria, that'd he'd knock himself out in a few minutes. I'm rooting for Mir, so I hope he isn't just talking trash.

IMO he's just trying to make Brock think that he's going to stand with him and is going to pull guard first chance he gets.

I still want to know who the F voted Paulo Thiago!

Also, there is still room on the Sexiyama train if you want on board. I heard the ring girls are bringing extra shorts so they can change after his fight.

I'm predicting a huge upset against GSP. Alves with his strength will shutdown any take downs by GSP which will either leave him neutralized or forced into a fist fight. GSP can't win without ground control and Alves won't give it to him in any form.

Mir will be knocked out cold in the second round.

Overrated? Everyone thinks he's a fucking bad ass, because he *is* a fucking bad-ass.

Canada can go ahead and scrap that 1 tank. GSP is all they need..

Ahhh, the good old days.

KT

like most things, the "wild wild west" days were the best.

1. no biting
2. no eye gouges
3. no fishhooks
4. that's it

first the asian-discipline fighters were choked out with their own guy 100% of the time, then the pounders took over. once tank abbot was put into submission without problem, the ufc was closer to balance between technique and power. the increasing rules also helped that.

I guess in a lot of ways it's more even and fair now, but I really liked the old tournament style. Now it seems they do it almost like boxing, just arranging fights on a card. Seems to be working for them, but I don't really watch it much.

If you're a UFC fighter they own you. The fight nights are cool, but its a bitch to get on the card unless you're a strong draw or have upset potential. Of course that makes sense, but there are a ton of fighters that can't do sh!t until their name is called.

10 minutes. Sopcast has issues with windows 7 64bit at least for me. It works on vista just fine.

I'm watching with Tvu (like sopcast) you can find the channel in the program just by searching mma tv in the program.
