Doubtful, Carwin hits about 4x as hard as Velasquez, and if you re-watch his fight with Brock, he wasn't close to finshing him. The only way Cain wins here is a decision, which is possible, but I don't think him finshing Lesnar is going to happen.

To put it in terms ATOT can maybe understand better. Cain KO/TKO'ing Lesnar would be about = to Trident losing his virginity in a 3 some with 2 other girls. Cain winning a decision would be about = to Trident losing his virginity. While it's possible I still don't see it happening

that's why i give it to lesnar. Carwin is a far better fighter then cain.

I really don't see anyone besides Carwin being able to beat him. i think in a 2nd fight carwin won't blow his load so fast and will be able to avoid subs.

His stand-up is technically better than Carwin's for sure, and his wrestling is light years ahead of Carwin's, plus his mental is totally on point.
Its unlikely he will make the same mistakes Carwin did, like gassing himself out in the 1st round, and making no attempt to escape the arm triangle choke.

With that said, I see nothing special in Cain nor in his previous fights. I would even say that if not for the lack of quality heavies, he wouldn't be fighting Brock.

Brock wins via size abuse (There really needs to be a super heavy+ weight division).

while I want and think Lesnar will win, my understanding is that Cain's cardio is out of this world. I don't think he will get gassed, I just don't think he's going to be able to stop Lesnar from jumping on him, then hammer fisting his face into a pulp.

Cain is a lot smaller than Brock iirc. You just can't give up all that muscle and expect to beat an equally skilled fighter.

This is a great card, I'm really looking forward to Shields in the UFC. He may not be the most exciting fighter in terms of what the fans want to see (stand up swinging for the fences) but he's interesting in the mix. Not sure if I agree with "Shields wins and he gets a shot at the title", but he's got some wins to back it up so whatever. Bring it on.

The only way Cain wins this fight is if it goes into the 4th/5th round and even that's a question mark, we haven't seen Brock's gas tank run that long. He's in great shape but for a guy who's probably 275 come cage time that's a ton of time being that active. I expect Brock to smother and smash this one out by the 2nd round.

Brock Lesnar (5-1) -155 vs. Cain Velasquez (8-0) +125 as of yesterday.

EDIT: Brock favored, but not by a HUGE, ridiculous Anderson Silva-like line.

Did anyone see the press conference? Brock looks scary as hell with the beard. Gotta love his sense of humor when he said he's finally hitting puberty so he decided to grow a beard. Also the "After this fight I'm going to row my Viking ship up to Canada and go hunting" comment
