About damned time I called one spot on. TKO due to strikes; caught him and did not spaz. Brock had trouble controlling Randy, so I knew Cain was going to give him fits.

Tito is done, but he did fight hard.

GG is done, he is just....done. Both he and CC just look unenthused when they fight. They have become like heavily overpaid sparring partners.

Thats exactly what I thought about GG, what is he going to do now? Oh I guess be a sparring partner. I don't understand how you can be so great at BJJ and not even try to take the fight to the ground for the first 14:50 of the fight.

As I said earlier, Cain's wrestling makes a better transition than Brock's. Cain has the better striking, better cardio. Brock gassed in 1 round.

Hype train derailed. Brock fans rapidly jumping off bandwagon at a pace faster than Machida's at 104 and 113.

MMA wins. Brock should go back to WWE.

The Sopcast link posted earlier is replaying the whole event. It was somewhere in the Ortiz-Hammill fight last I looked.

I just watched the press conference. It seemed like they asked Dana questions until Cain came in then a bunch for him and then it ended. I thought they always had all the winners plus maybe Brock come in for the press conference. I mean Cain would definitely get most of the questions but I'm sure they had a few others for other fighters.

Just for historical purposes... and so no one can backtrack...

BROCK WARWAGON

I will be and Lesnar I think will win.

fucking WAR LESNAR

Doubtful, Carwin hits about 4x as hard as Velasquez, and if you re-watch his fight with Brock, he wasn't close to finshing him. The only way Cain wins here is a decision, which is possible, but I don't think him finshing Lesnar is going to happen.

To put it in terms ATOT can maybe understand better. Cain KO/TKO'ing Lesnar would be about = to Trident losing his virginity in a 3 some with 2 other girls. Cain winning a decision would be about = to Trident losing his virginity. While it's possible I still don't see it happening

I just can't see Velasquez beating Brock. He's too big. Cain won't gas, but that doesn't matter if you are on your back in the 1st round getting sledge hammer fisted in the face. Joe Rogan is hilarious too btw. Every single fight that comes up: "In my opinion, this is the single biggest fight in the UFC to date."....

Second round, much of the same, but this time Lesnar forces Cain to tap out.

Not much of a Lesnar fan.

With that said, I see nothing special in Cain nor in his previous fights. I would even say that if not for the lack of quality heavies, he wouldn't be fighting Brock.

Brock wins via size abuse (There really needs to be a super heavy+ weight division).

Cain is a lot smaller than Brock iirc. You just can't give up all that muscle and expect to beat an equally skilled fighter.

Brock is a freaking beast. He's not human. Maybe an ogre? Brock is gonna suplex Cain and then finish him off with a steady diet of canned hams.

Lesnar - TKO stoppage in the 2nd

IMO Brock takes this. He will get peppered on his feet but will eventually get the takedown and then hammerfist Cain into ground beef. The only heavyweight in the UFC who can beat Brock is Carwin.

I don't like Lesnar, but he's got this fight in the bag. Cain is too small. Cain is going to run into the same problem Kongo had in his last fight. 30lb disadvantage which leads to reacting, and add that Lesnar has the ability to dictate where a fight goes.

it should be a good fight. i think cain is just to small to handle Lesnar. Brock has learned so much since the first mir fight its rather amazing.

Seconded on both counts.

WAR EPICLY BEARDED LESNAR

CAIN WARWAGON

Woosta said:
Personally I think Brock's wrestling is overrated. Yes, he has taken down all of his opponents but all of his opponents have been able to fend themselves off. His takedowns are not GSP quality, they are not godlike. They can be stopped.

Cain has the better cardio, better striking. Cain does not run like a girl from punches.

cain is going to finish was carwin started.

Cain is going to knock Brock's jaw into the third row.

agree with all your points Woosta. I hope broke get's his ass whooped like he deserves.

I do not bet, because I'd lose my ass.

I have Cain winning this by KO/TKO due to strikes. I think he catches the big man and then doesn't spaz like Carwin did.

That's crazy just 5 people were on the Cain war wagon, heh.

I hope some of you who were calling me crazy for saying Cain would win and defend against Brock's "godlike wrestling" respect my opinions more about the SF HW division being the most talented and experienced overall.

Overeem and Fedor would crush the UFC HW division.

I'm still a Brock fan, his MMA career is still very young, he's only been at it for a couple of years.

I feel sorry for whoever his next fight is against. And for FFS can they make him take punches with 4-5oz gloves in camp so he can get used to it?

Says the man who takes things too seriously. I bet losing that last little league baseball game still hurts more than your divorce. *

Get a life.

*(Divorce, or if one hasn't already occurred, it will. Judging by your personality.)

Meh, no time to hate on Brock but I said the same shit others were saying about his lack of skill for a while. Not saying he didn't deserve to be champ, because he did win. But I'd rather see someone skilled on top.

The problem wasnt that Brock lost, its the fact that he's so hyped up by the UFC as their super star. Just look at it. Brocktober? Hes on their magazine cover, on their video game cover? I used to hate Brock but after him nearly dying he came back a much nicer person.

Brock lost big fucking deal

It's a HUGE deal. It means the brock hype is GONE, OVER, DONE WITH.

Now I don't have to deal with all these WWEites saying Brock has skill. He won't be a favorite against guys with legit skill ( JDS, Cain, Fedor, Overeem ).

WWEites? I stopped watching WWF when I was a child. I never even saw this guy until his NFL ambitions. He's really intriguing as an MMA prospect. He was put on the pedestal waaaaaay too fast but he did well, which only added fuel to whatever hype you say exists. He's tough, but his chin has been exposed in a bad, bad way.

I just hope he doesn't give up the sport. I'm getting the feeling he might. I want to watch him clean house on his way back to another title fight.

A 9-2 lesnar vs a 12-0 Cain would be a much better fight IMO. Both needs more experience.

Yeah, definitely. Dana brainwashed these zuffa zombies into thinking Brock was the best HW of all time when really he was a one dimensional wrestler, very green fighter.

Cain revealed the truth, and I really do thank Cormier and his wrestling staff for helping him out.

As soon as Cain stuffed that first takedown, I knew Brock was done. What a great fight and a great win by Velasquez.

Sheilds won but it wasn't decisively. If he can't finish off Kampamnn, I don't think he's gonna steamroll through the MW devision with submission wins, so it was a disappointing night in my regard.

What a great fight by Sanchez. FOTN IMHO, unless you wanted to see Brock's face getting smashed, then that probably was your FOTN

EDIT: FOTN went Sanchez/Thiago, Velasquez got KOTN - well deserved.

/runs off to make 122 Thread so Woosta can't whore it up with his stupid fucking GIFs

You can have 122. I already made 123. 122 isn't even worth making a thread for. Shitfest. Not even going to bother watching that.

i watched himin WWE (yeap i watch it. well sometimes) but i have also seen tapes of him wrestling in college (i am a huge wrestling fan). the kid was amazing.

where cain really had it over brock was not wrestling (sure he got up but he was taken down also) but his strikeing was great.

i always wondered about Brock's chin. when Randy rocked him it hasn't been challenged until carwin. i kinda thought it was really good after that fight. But cain showed us it is not as strong as we thought.

i doubt Brock is leaving (though you read sherdog you would think he is jumping ship) and yes i would expect him to fight for the title again someday. though i would like to see him fight a few times before he gets that chance.

hmm cain vs jds i would expect soon. hell maybe brock vs big country? both of those would be hell of a fun fights to watch.
