i wonder how many guys in the UFC are juicing. Half these dudes look roided out.
I believe they are tested after every fights. Sonnen was suspended for a year after his fight with Silva after testing positive.

Yes that was kins of cool. The undertaker can actualy talk!!! LOL

I finally watched the fight last night. It was good to see Lesnar get a beating and now we finally have a real fighter with the belt.

Lesnar is not a fighter, he is just a big mother fucker who has been lucky so far. He should go back to the WWE with the undertaker.

Did anybody notice Lesnar shoving the cop aside when he was walking in. Bastard, I am glad he got his just reward during the fight. At the end, he really looked scared like a little girl cowering in a ball. Surprising he wasn't crying.

It surprises me Lesnar has so many fans in here. He is just a big chunk of muscle with no real talent.

he really turtled up quick. same with the carwin fight. i was kind of surprised. however,

cain is going to finish was carwin started.

so there's that.

How can you say he has no real talent? The guy was freaking dominant in ncaa wrestling, that takes insanse skills.

His low point has got to be mindset and judgment issues on his feet.

I think you have this guy confused with bob sapp who is just a giant piece of no talent muscle

Interesting note is that a lot of really really skilled fighters don't have "roided out" bodies. This kills the myth that you have to be a steroid/musclehead to be tough/be a fighter.

Cain is the HW Champ, Fedor is the GOAT, Shogun is the LHW Champ, BJ/Edgar were/are LW champs. Aoki is the DREAM LW champ, Ando is the MW champ.

Though, there are exceptions such as GSP and Alistair Overeem who have great genetics.

Exactly. People always expect the buff guy to win when its far from reality. I remember getting into an argument with a friend of mine when he said that any bodybuilder had more knockout power than a pro boxer.

haha WTF many bodybuilders are so muscle bound they wouldn't be able to throw a proper punch. Let alone knockout power.

Truth. The speed of their punch would probably be extremely slow (compared to a heavyweight boxer - see: Mike Tyson)

Also can throw in Chuck Lidell who many claim to be one of the greatest (especially with his punching power) - dude always had a belly on him and wasn't "JACKED UP"

Funny because before the fight, just about every other UFC fighter, including ones Randy had faced in the past said Randy was going to win the fight. If you think Randy's a "gimme" fight for a persons 4th professional MMA fight you're NUTTS.

People have always predicted wrongly, always have and always will, just like the Cain v Brock fight where the vast majority picked Brock.........I actually picked Cain to win in the first round via KO/TKO lol.

The fact is that Randy was outweighed by a huge margin, should really be in LHW, is very old, had a very long layoff, and loses one-third of his fights.

It might not have been a gimme fight but it certainly shouldnt have been the determining factor in pushing a fighter so high up the ranking. The fact of the matter is that Brock is very fresh, still unproven, not very skilled, does not deserve to be in the HW top 10.......there are many more deserving and proven fighters.

The Cain versus Brock fight exposed 2 UFC/Zuffa myths…….

From R3D @ TeamTakeOver
1. "NEW BREED"

Over the last 2 years, people like Dana White, Joe Rogan and others from ZUFFA did an impressive job of making MILLIONS of casual viewers BELIEVE that there was some kind of "NEW BREED" of HWs that ONLY EXISTED in the UFC and couldnt be found anywhere else. They made it seem like being bigger made fighters BETTER (Mir fell for this). They made it seem like Royce Gracie didnt come in there almost 20 YEARS AGO and build the sport of MMA on idea of SKILL>>>>>>>>>>>>>muscles like Brock and Carwin and the worst thing is the FANS BELIEVED THIS. THE MEDIA BELIEVED THIS. They made the whole country believe that a guy like Brock is "THE BADDEST MAN ON THE PLANET" That statement ALONE ERASES EVERYTHING ROYCE EVER DID (and Fedor Emelianenko’s achievements), and takes our great sport back 20 years by making statements like that in 2010.

There needed to be a change. This couldnt fly for much longer. The "NEW BREED" term which was a Zuffa tactic to discredit guys like Fedor turned out to be a bunch guys with no muscle endurance (Carwin), no skill or heart (Brock), glass jaw and no cardio (Dufee) I love how the ball never lies and fights change everything and all those wont combine for 20+ career wins between the 3 of them. I love how Cain regularly fights at 240lbs and is 6'1 and proved that the best HWs dont have to be juiced faggots with no skill and put this sport where it should be in terms of what a HW champion is. What Im saying is 90% of American UFC fans, were NOOBS until last night. Big Up to Cain for setting the record straight on what a REAL HW CHAMP is.

2. "The best HW's are in the UFC"

Last night Cain made it very clear that there are only 2 great HWs in the UFC. They are Cain "El Terrible" Velasquez and Junior "Cigano" Dos Santos. Everyone else in the UFC is NOTHING SPECIAL. The best HWs are NOT in the UFC. This myth was juiced for almost 3 years and that DIED a cowards a death last night. I’ve been saying forever that Cain will murder Brock and that Dos Santos comes right after Cain as the two best HWs in the UFC. Outside of that, UFC has a bunch of B-Level low skilled, glass jawed, unprofessional cardio, cage hugging and a few washed up legends like Big Nog and Mirko.

Im glad that Zuffa will need to take a different marketing approach now and will be forced to be more honest to their fans about whose badass and who’s just a cash cow like Brock. Calling Brock "The Baddest Man on the planet" is terrible for the sport, dishonest to its fans, and counterproductive in every way possible. From now on we will be seeing who is truly great and the era of fighters like Brock, Carwin, Duffee being hyped as anything is OVER.

For those new to MMA, educate yourself and watch two HW fighters who genuinely deserving of their title as the baddest man in the planet:
Fedor Emelianenko – top level Sambo and Judo
Igor Vovchanchyn – top level Sambo and Kickboxing

Did anyone see the ESPN Sports Science where they measured Cain's punching power at > 2,200 lbs of force? I believe it after what I saw him do to Lesnar's face.

Do you train, or is this fantasy sports for you? If you train, then what and where?

I suspect most pro fighters are on some sort of steroids, even the ones that aren't shredded. I think many of them take steroids to enhance their recovery so they can train longer, harder, and more often rather then to increase muscle mass.

I bet woosta is a 140lb geek with coke bottle glasses.

Ad hominem abuse (also called personal abuse or personal attacks) usually involves insulting or belittling one's opponent in order to invalidate his or her argument, but can also involve pointing out factual but ostensible character flaws or actions which are irrelevant to the opponent's argument. This tactic is logically fallacious because insults and even true negative facts about the opponent's personal character have nothing to do with the logical merits of the opponent's arguments or assertions.

Nice try. Get back on topic.

That answers my question. Particularly given that you chose to interpret the question out of context. You are a fantasy leaguer; which is fine. But your "knowledge" should be seen in the proper light.

That you do not train, and have never fought in combat sports, also explains a lot about your disrespectful comments towards fighters. It is because you could not possibly empathize with them. Or understand what it is like to be in with someone that "has your number".

Congratulations, you are like 99 percent of Sherdog.

B.J. Penn has the least amount of muscle tone that I've seen in a fighter, but he knows how to fight. If he had some more mass he wouldn't gas out quite as quick.

lulz!

That is exactly why Joe Rogan makes such a great announcer, he is actively involved with the sport and knows what the fighters are actually doing during the fight. He is a large reason the UFC is where they are today IMHO.

Could not agree more. Joe is one of my favorite people ( in the "I have never met" category) He is a Brown Belt under 1 of the Machado's I think, a brown shirt under Bravo, and a TKD black belt. He is also in excellent shape, and I have read, strong as hell.

He schooled some punk that trash talked him on facebook or something. I remember seeing the vid. He just destroyed the kid rolling.

His only real issue, is he is too biased during the fights. Like he has money riding on it or something.
