this is not a good way to say someone is on peds. While i do think overeem used them in the past (to be honest same with brock during his WWE stint) there are plenty of big guys.

hell Brock was a monster in high school/college. but he got a lot bigger (and then smaller for ufc) in teh WWE.

Being a former wrestler myself I'm all too familiar with weight cutting. However, Overeem didn't cut weigh for the Bunetello fight as the weight limit was 265. It does appear that you are correct about his weight at Dream 4. IMO 16lbs in 8 months is the high end of what is possible without PEDs so I'm still skeptical.

Overeem weighed in at 224 lbs vs Buentello in heavy, so you're right about the cut.

Honestly, I see that much greater weight gain all the time. One of my Kyokushin Karate teachers is 5'8" and fights between 155 and 225 true weight (weigh in is on day of fight). It takes dedication (plus it really suuuucks), but it's not out of the realm of possibility for a full-time athlete, especially for a towering 6'5".

The guy definitely juiced. He avoided fighting in the US for many years and "bulked up" following 3 straight losses. Not concrete, but when there's smoke, there's fire. He went from looking like Bruce from Tekken 2 to Marduk from Tekken 5.

Also, he didn't bulk up in his late teens (i.e. fill out as an adult); he totally changed his body type in his mid 20's.

Exactly. 2003-2005 looks completely legit, but 06-07, jesus christ. It looks like 25-40 pounds of pure muscle gained.

That's just NOT possible.
