I just watched the fight, absolutely unbelievable. Silva finally got his comeuppance. He is not invulnerable after all, well done Mr Weidman. I am kind of disappointed his spider limbs didn't fold back on the body. LOL

I was hoping Silva would win and then just retire. Or say that he would fight GSP as his last ever fight. Now I want to see a re-match and see Silva decimate Weidman.

I'm glad AS got KO'd, with all the monkey shit he does in the ring he deserved it. I was also wondering about his chin after seeing the KO.
I honestly don't see the fight being fixed. Why would he ruin his run at defending the belt?

Anderson lost the 1st round, he got taken down and if Wiedman hadn't went for that knee bar he maybe could have pounded him out. Silva lost every aspect of the fight, the showboating just lead to a vicious knock out. He showed nothing up to the knock out that made me believe he was going to win that fight.

Sorta like the first Chael Sonnen fight when AS was getting dominated up until over halfway through the 5th round? It just seems like AS always finds a way to win, even if it's something as simple as kicking someone in the face, a la Vitor Belfort.

ETA: I agree though, about Weidman looking better than AS did in the first round. I guess I sorta assumed that was similar to Dan Henderson's fight with AS, where, IIRC, Hendo looked good in the first round but got owned in round #2.

Chale's dumb ass lost the 1st fight because he tried to finish Silva. If he hadn't went down to GNP him with like 90 seconds left he would have more than likely won. He gave a BJJ Black Belt a submission on a platter. And Chale's glaring weakness is submissions. I do give him respect for still trying to finish when he could have coasted to a decisive UD.

He didn't show up to play/fight...he just showed up...like he does every other fight. As much as I like AS, he had it coming. Could he have won the fight? Sure...if he had attacked and actually made any kind of effort, but he was too busy being AS the Clown and not the Fighter.

He's been showboating more and more with each passing fight. I believe his ego had him thinking he was unbeatable. It wouldn't make sense for him to give up here when there's been talk of a super fight between possibly Jones or GSP. Him vs either would have made him crazy money, and been the biggest fight MMA's ever seen. He could have fought a lot better, but he was so full of himself it lead to him getting put to sleep.

The GSP fight has been talked about for years and hasnt happened. And it probably never will.
