when did machida fight middleweight??
i dont think he deserves a title shot but dana (mr promoter) certainlyh knows how to sell tix,

And sonnen is fighting again?! I think he makes a better commentator. Wished he replaced Rogen.
unfortunately that'll never happen because Rogen has a huge following from fear factor. That means $$$ to Dana.

no he dropped down when dana refused to ever let him fight for the light heavyweight title again because jon jones wants to duck him

Was really hoping to see a rematch of jones machida damnit DANA!

I also am starting to wonder if they found out that Wieideman isnt as marketable a champ as they thought.

I'm rooting for Weidman since he seems to get spit on a lot. In the end a good fight is all I ask for.

sonnen retires!

he failed his drug test so he wont be allowed to fight Vitor Belfort.

im also predicting that testing positive will also kill his career as a commentator.

and unfortunately, the ufc cant find anyone to substitute, so Belfort wont be fighting either

His positive test will not effect his job as a commentator for Fox. He will be Fox's top person for everything related to MMA.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sonnen fight again either.

Machida wins the belt.

I think weidman is the real deal. Not too many people can defend spider silva's quickness, and he almost seemed a step ahead of silva while at the same time carrying a sharp and powerful offense.

I think you may be right. Still, Gustafsson is the one that left me the most impressed. That fight with Jones was just too epic.

It's more than that. Rogan has been there from very early on and gained a lot of street cred with the UFC fans. He genuinely gets into the fights in a manner that is basically frowned upon in most sports these days, and it is refreshing. Getting rid of Rogan would be a major mistake imho.

I thought Sonnen might get a pass, Dana just mentioned that you could see Sonnen running the entire UFC one day. Man, I know they take drugs seriously and I know Sonnen's UFC gig was at risk because they fired Stephan Bonner but to see actually happen is still a little shocking being such a fan.
To top it off, I read this 2nd test was voluntary. To top it off again, I read Bellator just hired Coker to run it's operations (the strikeforce guy). They would be smart to pick up Sonnen in my opinion.

Nothing against Chris, but I want Lyoto to win. When he was new in the UFC I absolutely fell victim to the way they promoted him. The Dragon Era? SIGN ME UP! And even thought he wasn't an action packed fighter, I loved how he picked apart people with his counter striking. Then I read an interview where he said he drinks his own urine every morning before he starts to train. I didn't understand that shit, and I find it gross. But anyone who will drink their own piss thinking it will transform them into a champion, shit that's dedication.

Chris is great and it sure seems like he has Anderson's number, but Machida's not Silva.

Machida winning would be bad, he is too boring to watch.

The 2nd one was a completely different matter, he had a bogus but half reasonable excuse for the 1st failed test but nothing can explain away HGH and EPO, I could care less for the fighter but I did think he was the best commentator on Fox. His forced retirement/suspension from the 1st failed test didn't really matter in the grand scheme but the 2nd failed will have a huge impact on him. He was set to make more money as the head Fox commentator than he made fighting.

Uriah Hall just squeaked by and one one after breaking his toe in the first round. Compound fracture looks like?
