Yeah, yeah, there is a UFC PPV tonight, shows how excited we all are for this. I almost didn't even make this thread, but its in case people needed a reminder.

I like Aldo fights. Should be an interesting matchup again. Chad needs to not leave it in the judges hands. Aldo needs to do enough damage in the early rounds and get Chad playing defense or his day will end in a loss. Could end up being an epic fight.

I like Aldo fights.

Same here. Something about his punching skills that remind me of Gus, and the accuracy of some of his kicks and knees while at the apex of a jump or just moving forward quickly has left me gobsmacked more than once. Guy has epic setup and timing.

I seem to have a sporadic intake of UFC. I'll go for months too busy to care, then a good UFC lineup gets me back into it for another few months. Watching Aldo fight is one of those things that gets me back in.

cant contain my excitement for the Aldo fight. I think this should be his biggest test in years. I still wonder if he would naturally like to a class above since his cut is so brutal. Mendez should try to keep uptempo.

His timing and feel are epic. He slips as well a Cus Damato boxer and was absolutely electric for his first few fights. Nobody challenged him for years. The Cub Swanson KO was epic.

Really hard to be the champ in the UFC. Tactically the long time champs have to play it safe with the ease of flash KOs.

mendez had him hurt but couldnt seal the deal. Was his if he had the heart of a champion. Aldo was really hurt. Think he broke his eye socket

First time I have ever seen the winner and the loser call out another fighter in Mcgregor. In brazilian Aldo called him the Joker lol


No way mendez won more than 2 rounds. No controversy in this fight outside the late shots and eye pokes.

title fight did deliver. Card was geared for the home crowd. The Maldonato fight was the perfect excuse to go get a beer and make some popcorn. Card needed at least one more big matchup. Shit they should have brought in a Renzo and let him fight somebody over the hill...

You know I basically never watch the lightweights but I have thought for a while I need to watch some of Aldo fighting.
