The prelims are pretty average but that is the best PPV line up ever. 5 incredible fights. Every one of these could be a main event on a PPV or Fight Night.

After watching this season of TUF I am not much of a McGregor fan any more.

I think it'll come down to Aldo's right low leg kick vs Conor's left straight. Aldo's ground game, MT leg catching and takedown game is a big advantage but Conor's pressure and boxing is lethal.

Would not be surprised if McG does it with that crazy power - that said, Aldo wins this IMO.

I actually like a lot of what McGregor says in training and how he doesn't baby the guys. His insistence on position being more important I think is good.

I think this will be a good fight. I wouldn't be surprised either way. Though, for the sake of entertainment, I want McGregor to win then go up to 155.

Great cards usually end up as disappointment.

It will be a miracle if no one pulls out of the card, or is that no one has pulled out already. Its not an easy sport to stay healthy in when these guys have to train at the level of physicality they do in order to prepare and improve.

His coaching was much better, and far more realistic, than a lot of the others are. They are not a team and not friends. They are a group of grown men who need to handle this opportunity that has been given. Sure, he was kinda dickish going off on that dude thy gave up, but he fucking gave up. Those guys don't belong in TUF.

And the UFC needs more shit talking. I hate this sterile "it's going to be a fight" bullshit. Someone need to tell McGregor they are going to be the worst thing to happen to his Irish ass since the last potato famine.

Thursday and Friday night cards aren't bad, either.

Friday has Mendes/Edgar and Ferguson/Barbosa.

Thursday has some fighters I like but none of the match-ups are super intriguing. Maybe the Jim Miller fight.

All in all, the best UFC weekend in at least a few years.

I thought Conor was a good coach on TUF. He wasn't there at every single practice but he brought in extremely high quality coaches who could cover for that. And he did get plenty of time with the guys himself. Also, his team did very well overall (granted, they were great fighters before they even came in)...so I don't understand why you would say he wasn't a good coach.

Edit: I will say though, that I just like Conor overall. And hope he wins. But can easily see the fight going either way.

I think, likely due to his team already being experienced, really helped his hands off style. These guys knew what they needed to do and Connor just gave them some pointers on matchups and stuff they could improve.
