Yeah, I don't know fighting, that must be it.

Your argument seems to be he has a great, if not far beyond average fighter, wrestling background and little else. Well, he is pretty new in terms of experience. Like I said, had he not been in the WWE and famous, he'd be another "up and comer with potential". But, he had a name and sold a card more than anyone else. Oh, and he won a championship, defended it twice, and left due to injury.

Of course he doesn't like to get punched. Nobody does. He is a novice fighter and hasn't gotten used to taking damage. Fault the UFC for throwing him to the wolves.

Why do they have a card so stacked like this every 100 events? They should do a stacked card every year around new years eve like some other organization did...

They stack if simply for the sake of the number, 100 was massive so they are trying to top it with 200. Large number events will always try and be big cards.

UFC usually puts on a very good, or huge show at or around NYE.

I think it speaks more of how freak of an athlete Brock is/was than the HW division. The HW division in any fighting sport typically is the thinnest on talent. You don't see guys who cut to make 265lb weight limit move the way he does.

Even in the Cain fight, I felt had he taken his time when he took Cain down he probably would have won, but tried to jump to mount immediately and it cost him dearly.

The thing isn't that he just doesn't like to get punched, but that it was known in the past that he did not allow his trainers or sparring partners to strike him (maybe just not in the head, I don't recall). This led to suspicion that he couldn't handle getting hit and that it was a significant shortcoming of his fighting ability.

That's nothing unique to Brock either. I seem to recall reading about other fighters not sparing hard and getting hit in the head.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2015/3/2...ning-head-trauma-retirement-training-mma-news

here is one of jamie verner giving advice to new fighters to NOT spare often.

I tried to find the other one i read. Can't remember who it is.

IF you do a quick search there are articles that say how sparing may cause more concussions then fights themselves.

Pat Barry (IIRC) who was a training partner for Brock in the past, again IIRC stated he thought it was odd he couldn't strike Brock in training.

In case you guys didn't hear, some incredibly bullshit went down at UFC 199. Ariel Helwani and 2 other journalists were banned for life and escorted out of UFC 199 for leaking Brock Lesnar was returning. Really sucks UFC got him fired from Fox (when he was the best guy on any of the panels, fighters included) and now they ban him...

A great interview with Bas Rutten about Brock prior to UFC 126. The part concerning Brock starts at 4:45
https://youtu.be/3MVOUu2vf-I?t=284

An important issue I haven't seen brought up is what are the chances Brock will have an issue with the USADA testing? I would think WWE would be rampant with drug use, steroids and a list of drugs used for injury recovery. The WWE talks a decent game about their drug testing but many of the biggest stars have either not been tested or never failed. When they do fail, they are only out 30 - 60 days.

It's a pretty bad precedent to set, if you ask me.

This is his interview after the fact: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLNsbQ6gv7U It's long and exposes some shit about how shady Zuffa is. Though, I can't say I blame them.

I think a lot of the guys are relatively drug free. WWE has cracked down on it as far as I can tell. They won't allow another Scott Hall type scenario. They don't really tolerate drug us, but steroid use may be a different umbrella.

Brock Lesnar vs Mark Hunt will be interesting, although Daniel Cormier vs Jon Jones will be just as interesting.

The UFC has had a change of heart, his ban has been lifted and he will be able to apply for UFC credentials. In other words, we will probably see him back.

Yep. Heard this. I hope he's back. He will probably miss a few events and then they'll let him back in.

Taking punches is as much being that way as it is training for it. Some people dont like to get hit, some people deal with it, some people dont care, and some people even laugh.

Yea whenever you see brock get hit. You can see the look of panic in his face and he folds up.

Is he still on probation? If so, depending on what he tested positive for, getting booted from ufc 200 may be the least of his problems.

It's kind of BS that they waited so long for this to happen. I mean, if his B sample tests false, what kind of bullshit would that be?
